I have 19 years of experience volunteering with dogs and cats at three different area rescues. I currently volunteer at Project Hope Animal Rescue Foundation in Gilberts. I also worked for a petsitting service in Elgin for 5.5years, so I have experience with many different types of dogs. I currently have two mixed breed dogs of my own and a cat that are all very happy and healthy! One of my dogs is reactive when on leash around other dogs, so I understand the patience that comes along with that behavior. In 2006, I acquired a dog training certification from Animal Behavior College.

It is important for me to know about your pet's personality and routine. What commands does your pet know. Is there any ongoing training that you would like me to reinforce? I love going for walks, so if your pet would enjoy a walk, I would be happy to do that.
Ratings and reviews
Mieke is fantastic with all animals. She has volunteered with several animal shelters for years and is patient with “high maintenance” pets. My dogs thinks she’s great, even my anxious lab. If she lived any closer to me she would be my first pick for watching my dogs.

Schedule
I am currently unemployed, so I am available most days and time. I am available for walks or drop-ins for feedings, playtime, cuddle time, etc.
