When booking for a dog with specific medical needs, it's important to have full transparency regarding the home environment. Given that my dog recently had surgery, he is not able to be around other big dogs or jump from furniture. I did receive videos with dogs being in the home and was told it would not be possible to block the couch. I do specifically ask prior to booking if preventing jumping is possible, and sitters are usually transparent upfront about what is doable or not. Unfortunately, we were told that this would be doable initially and then that it would not be doable after we already dropped him off. The sitter was also quite curt in responses which made us uncomfortable. Our dog has always done really well with sitters, but he did not seem to warm up here. It was definitely not worth the risk, and we had to ask family to pick him up for us. Although I understand that caring for a dog with medical needs is difficult, I do definitely expect transparency from sitters to prioritize my dog's health.

Micki took great care of our two Corgis. We received regular updates and photos, and felt assured the dogs were in good hands. She was able to accommodate our request on pretty short notice, too. The dogs came home happy, healthy, and tired out from some good walks and playtime.
