Queer w/ Veterinary+ Background
My preferred name is Carter (he/they). I am queer and trans masc non-binary. **Please note that I am recovering from surgery and am currently unavailable for most of the summer!** I have been training dogs of various ages and breeds for over 10 years. I currently have a multi-purpose service dog who I trained myself (but she typically stays home during pet care visits). I worked at a pet lodge for a year before working at a vet clinic from 20-21. I've been relied on to walk, train, and care for all types of animals. I know how to provide first aid and other basic medical care to your pets if an emergency arises (such as choking, seizures, and minor wounds). And I am trained in pet CPR. Additionally, I have worked with many young puppies and senior animals, as well as animals with medical conditions. I have experience with both exotic animals and livestock. I even have experience whelping (birthing) animals. I am also able to provide grooming including but not limited to nail trims, bathing, clipping, and blow outs (upon request). I always like to start off with establishing a good relationship with you and your pet(s). My goal is to make your pet as happy as possible. I like to provide mental stimulation on top of exercise, so that they can get out any energy while also working their brain. I also want to note that I do my best to provide services at a reasonable rate with my level of knowledge and experience. If you are struggling with finances or my rates are not currently feasible for you, don't hesitate to reach out and we can try to work something out! I am always a safe space and non-judgemental! I am just so impressed with Carter! They recently helped with Cali’s nail trim and were absolutely excellent. Carter is so professional and was so, so sweet with Cali throughout the entire visit. It is such a relief to find someone so kind and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

As always, Carter is amazing! I feel very comfortable leaving my two cats knowing they are with him. Regular updates and many photos makes being away from home less stressful!
Carter has watched my cats a few times now and he continues to be a trustworthy and responsible sitter! The daily updates with pictures are much appreciated!
Carter did a great job caring for Maverick. Mav received lots of care and attention. He had all the walks he needed. We also appreciated that the house was very orderly and nice to come home too. We recommend Carter and Hope to have him back to care for Maverick.

** My availability is very limited as I am recovering from surgery this summer. Please reach out if you would like to book pet care sometime after August.** I do typically work a full time (7am-3pm) Sept to June but I am still available to take drop ins and walks throughout the week (and weekend), and pet sittings over the weekend or at other times by discretion! Please message me if you'd like to discuss more to see if I'd be a good fit for your pet(s) or if you have questions.

I treat your pets like they are family. I always make sure to monitor any potential health or safety concerns. I also do my best to leave your home cleaner than when I arrived.

A typical day
I love to get your pet's brain working, we will visit new areas, play lots of games, and get all of the sniffs in. Exercising their brain and their body is one of my main goals. I like to also stick to a similar schedule that you have so that they still feel structured throughout their day.
