Pet care experience

Loving, Caring, Patient, Kind

Starting in 2021 I have strived to provide reliable, attentive care for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to senior and special-needs dogs. Over the past five years I’ve developed a strong understanding of canine behavior, and clients consistently describe me as calm, patient, communicative, and dependable. I naturally connect well with animals, and am especially empathetic towards dogs who may be anxious, reactive, slow to warm up, or thrive with consistency. I’m comfortable handling large breeds, leash pullers, and dogs with separation anxiety, and I always approach every dog with patience and an understanding that each one has different needs, boundaries, and personality traits. I have experience caring for senior and special-needs pets, including dogs who require oral medication administration, mobility support, diapers, or require a more attentive pace. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual routines and needs so they feel safe and comfortable while in my care.

Mick has cared for our fur kids for years. He’s been there for our senior pitbull pups through challenging medical conditions that require a lot of TLC and close attention to meds. It always so comforting knowing Mick is there!

Wesley fell in love with Mick right away, and I could tell that Mick was a natural with dogs, which helped calm me on my first time using Rover. This was a wonderful first experience using Rover, I would definitely recommend Mick, who communicated clearly, made sure he understood Wesley, and kept me up to date with cute pictures of little Wesley.

Mick seemed very comfortable with our older dog. He was patient with her and great at following instructions related to her habits. I would happily request him again!

Schedule

Pet care is my primary focus, and I manage my schedule so I can provide individualized care to every dog I work with. I do maintain regular weekly walking and drop-in clients, so depending on the service, your dog may need to be comfortable alone for a few hours at a time. I communicate scheduling expectations clearly in advance so there are never surprises.

Safety, trust & environment

For boarding, I offer a calm home environment with a fenced yard and a quiet neighborhood for walks. I currently live with several roommates, so boarding is best suited for dogs who are generally comfortable around people and shared living spaces. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I treat every client’s home with professionalism and respect. I make a point to leave as small a footprint as possible and care for both your pet and your space responsibly while you’re away. I have reliable transportation, which allows me flexibility for overnight stays, walks, drop-ins, and emergency situations.

A typical day

I will be by your pet’s side as much as possible so they know they can rely on me. I don’t like to be away from them for too long, so when I have to leave the house I always return as soon as I can. When they need pets, I’ll give them pets. If they want to play, we will play until one of us tires. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they are happy and secure.

Tell me everything about your dog. No detail is too small. Favorite toys, energy levels, treats or acceptable human foods, and exercise needs are just some of the things I want to know so I can provide the best care possible. Do they love extra snuggles, or prefer to be left alone? I will treat your dog like a member of my family because I understand they are family to you. I know how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pet. and I work hard to provide dependable care, clear communication, and a calm presence that helps both pets and owners feel safe and at ease.
