Information Michelle W. would like to know about your pet

If a dog has severe separation anxiety and/or is fearful, I like to know this in advance. I would also like to know if they need to be leashed or not. Leashing a frightful dog can be difficult, especially if I am completely new to them. I'm not comfortable forcing a fearful dog to do anything. They need time to adjust to new people and build trust. Forcing them out of their comfort zone is not fair to them and can be dangerous for me.

A typical day

I can take the dog(s) to Brohard dog beach or play with them in the park. I really enjoy walking around on the island in Venice. The trails and pathways have great views and are relatively quiet.

Pet care experience

I've had dogs and cats my entire life. At one point I had five dogs, three cats, two horses, a potbellied pig, and a donkey. I'm familiar with the needs of different types of animals, as well as needs based on age and individual personality. As a result, I am very flexible. I am also a member of a state animal rescue team that responds to animal hoarding situations, natural disasters, and other events that would necessitate care. In my last job, I worked at a crime lab that was right next door to the humane society and on my lunch, I would volunteer to walk dogs or create online profiles for adoptable cats so I have had experience with many breeds and behaviors. I have worked in law enforcement my entire career so I am thoroughly background checked. I am available for other needs, such as bringing in mail, watering plants, filling up the pool, or anything else needed to keep your home safe and in order while you are away. I work full-time Tuesday through Friday, 7:15am to 5:15pm so I am available at 5:30pm on those days. Saturday through Monday I am off so I can hang out for longer periods of time, walk more frequently, take trips to the dog beach, or whatever special attentions are desired. I have just one cat at the moment. She is a diva and has a door that lets her in and out of the house onto her catio, which she enjoys on her own schedule. She is indoor only so she does not have access to the outside world for safety reasons. I have a fenced-in yard for visiting dogs and I often have friends' and family members' dogs over to keep us company while we visit. As far as the client is concerned, I interact based on the pet's needs. All pets are different and have various requirements depending on type of animal, age, personality, energy level, physical ability, etc. I interact and provide care based on these needs, which is why meeting and talking about the client's and pet's needs in advance is so important. It also gives the client peace of mind and gives the pet the opportunity to check me out.

Michelle was fabulous and did everything necessary, plus went the extra mile. My cats looked happy, after our two week absence. In addition, Michelle left the litter boxes squeaky clean. Thank you, Michelle.

Run don't walk or wait to book Michelle! Excellent communication through the interview and care duration. Michelle is professional and attentive she even sent pictures of our baby Tiggy for pur enjoyment and peace of mind. Our cat adored her and she even brought a toy for him ! She asked first too which shows how attentive and caring she is. It was a smooth vacation and we were very happy with her care. We felt she provided us with exceptional care! Highly recommend !!!!
