Hi! We’re JD and Michelle, a husband-and-wife team who genuinely love dogs and treat every pup like part of the family. Between the two of us, we’ve spent more than 20 years caring for dogs both personally and professionally. We grew up around German Shepherds and Huskies and have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. JD is a firefighter with the Tucson Fire Department, which means his schedule includes many weekdays at home in addition to extended time off. When he’s working his 24-hour shifts, Michelle keeps everything running at home, so your dog always receives plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Our Family: We have a busy home with a wonderful two-year-old toddler and our newest little addition, so we intentionally keep boarding small and personal. To provide the safest and most relaxing experience for everyone, we typically host just one family’s dog at a time. We may consider multiple dogs if they’re from the same household or after getting to know them through previous stays. We ask that all dogs be fully house-trained, friendly around young children, and complete a meet-and-greet before their first stay. If you’re unsure how your dog does around little ones or a new environment, we’re happy to schedule daycare first so everyone can get comfortable. Our Dog: Our 12 year old Siberian Husky has been an incredible companion and ambassador for visiting dogs. He’s calm, friendly, and gets along well with both people and other dogs. Over the years we’ve found his relaxed personality helps anxious or high-energy dogs settle in much more quickly.
