Home full-time -large fenced yard
I work from home half the week and am the "mother" of a 6-year-old Golden Retriever-German Shepherd mix (male, about 60 lbs) named Bertie. Bertie is very energetic and loves to play. If possible, we should arrange a Meet & Greet first. I can take your dog to nearby parks or the Sandia foothills. Pets are NEVER left alone on our property--there is always someone to monitor and supervise. We both give a lot of TLC and emphasize health and exercise. We are also conveniently located in ABQ, near many different vets. In terms of training philosophy, we are a mix of calm, assertive leadership and treat/clicker based positive reinforcement. But the dogs rule our hearts.

Michelle was great with our pup. She was very friendly and very prepared, and clearly loved to be around dogs. She had plenty of space and toys, and thoughtfully laid out water and had treats for him too.

Michelle was a great sitter. When I dropped off my dog for the night, she made me feel at ease leaving him at her place. She let me see her backyard, she introduced her dog to mine and it seemed like my dog had a great time! Thank you for taking great care of my dog Wall-e, if i'm ever in town again, I'd definitely feel comfortable leaving him with Michelle again!
I have known Michelle since junior high and I absolutely adore her. I know her to always be an extremely trustworthy and responsible person and I trust her with my life. She loves dogs and I'm sure she would make an absolutely wonderful dog sitter!

Schedule
I work remotely, so I'm available throughout the day. I am available to monitor play and provide walks. I'm near St. Francis animal clinic but can also go to VCA, Good Shepherd, Blue Cross, or Route 66.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a three-bedroom house with a large fenced yard. I work from home 100 percent of the time, so I'm able to keep dogs within eyesight at all times. My yard also has a fence in the middle so dogs can be separated.
Pets
A typical day
I'm an avid hiker and know all the trails in the Sandias and the Bosque very well. I regularly rotate between Altura, Alvarado, and Hidden Parks.
