My husband is full remote and I unfortunately am back in the office full time. Galen will be home with the pups all day. I do an early morning walk and an after work walk while he does multiple midday walks. In the evenings we both are able to take the pups on long walks.

We monitor any bones given and are in close proximity during feeding time. We also continuously reinforce good behaviors by pets, praise, and treats if you allow. We only accept one dog at a time. Pups are allowed on the couch. Bundy Dog Park is across the street, if you allow for additional exercise. Your dog will receive lots of pets, praise and love while in our home!

Please let us know about the following: -reactivity -leashed walk behavior -are they crate trained -special food preparation/restrictions - medication schedule (if applicable) -quirks...for example: -can they open doors? - Do they counter surf? - resource guarding? - are they known to scratch at doors? Please bring: -Toys/blankets that bring your dog comfort -collar/harness -leash -enough food for stay with instructions -brushes or combs if you'd like me to do that for you (i honestly love it) *We have a medium sized kennel for pets, *We also have slow feeder bowls, food and water bowls incase you forget or want to save the trouble of bringing them. Open to meetings outside of home prior to boarding
A typical day
We have a small fenced back yard and live near a dog park if you allow it. There are many dogs in the neighborhood so your pup will be exposed to many new scents. We play fetch and can help reinforce training with treats if allowed. The dogs receive attention and pets during and in between online meetings. As you know the DC homes aren't large, so we are always very close by to the dogs.

My husband Galen and I have both had dogs since we were in our teens. We are both experienced in caring and loving for our pups. As a couple we have owned pets together for 13 years. We are a US Air Force Family and have been stationed in DC for the past six years. We love how the community is a dog centric town!! Galen is full remote, meaning your pup will never be alone. We currently have a bulldog named Burrito. Our miniature american eskimo named Mojo unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge in December 2024. I love our dogs so much I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your BFF to a stranger. I promise I’ll provide your pet the love and attention they want or need as if they were my own.

Michelle and Galen have watched our dog Ollie more times than we can count, and we honestly couldn’t ask for better people to leave her with. Ollie (our French bulldog) absolutely loves the two of them. They’re just genuinely kind, good people who clearly love dogs. It’s obvious in how they care for Ollie and also with their own bulldog, Mr. Burrito. Every time we leave her with them, we know she’s getting a ton of attention and love, not just being “watched.” It’s such a relief knowing she’s in good hands when we anre away. We get so excited when our phone buzzes and we see it’s pics of Ollie and Burrito sun bathing or playing together. We’re really grateful to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring dog sitters.
Michelle was amazing! My dogs had such a wonderful time with her and they loved Mr. Burrito 🌯. We will definitely be staying with her again. 10 out of 10!
