Pet care experience

I love all fur-babies!

Hi furball-loving friends! A little bit about me and my qualifications for taking care of your 🦮🐈‍⬛ child: I grew up with 2 dogs and 2 cats (as well as bunnies, hamsters and fish). Our cats growing up were more independent and not super into cuddles, but they got along with our dogs very well. One of our dogs was a Lhasa apso and the other was a beautiful, quirky and almost too friendly mix of husky, shepherd and probably quite a few other breeds. She was the love of my life and we used to joke that she would be a terrible guard dog because she simply loved everyone. She passed away from cancer over 10 years ago. With all of these animals growing up there was always something to do, so I am well-versed in walks, cleaning up after pets, cleaning litter boxes, play time, applying or giving medication orally, basic dog training and managing individual personalities and interactions between animals. Since then, I have also been a dog and cat-aunt to countless friends and roommates, and have enjoyed stepping in to care for them whenever necessary! My friends and family can attest to the fact that I am always eager to take and share cute photos of their pets. I understand how hard it is to leave them at home and would not need to be asked to share updates throughout the day. Just let me know the frequency you prefer and I am more than happy to oblige! ☺️

Michelle was an amazing sitter. She was punctual and communicative the entire time we were gone. She gave great cuddles to our cat Sunny, which he really appreciated. Her updates were great with many photos and videos the entire time she was with Sunny. Really appreciated her taking such great care of him while we were gone!

Schedule

I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I would love the opportunity to help those individuals who have more rigid schedules ensure that their fur-babies are well taken care of during the day (and while on vacation).

Safety, trust & environment

My boyfriend and I just adopted our own pup last October. He’s such a sweetie and loves everyone! I live in an apartment with plenty of space for a dog to roam, and as I work from home, I can provide them with company and supervision throughout the day.

Pets

A typical day

It is important to make sure first and foremost that your pet is comfortable and feels safe in their environment. Once they have a chance to acclimate to the space, making sure there is mental stimulation, and opportunities to exert themselves is necessary. I love playing with both dogs and cats and I live in a great neighborhood for taking dogs on walks - with plenty of parks and trails close by.

I would like to know if your pet has any past trauma or if they are reactive in specific situations. For instance, seeing or meeting other dogs on walks. Also knowing if your pet is food possessive and/or food motivated is helpful to know beforehand. If you are working on any specific aspects of training please let me know so I can make sure they have consistency and keep them on track.
