I work from home exclusively, in a house with a fenced yard. I have a flexible schedule which gives me time to go on walks and hang out with your pet!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is a top priority for me, and I take each owner’s unique circumstances and comfort into consideration when caring for their pet. I do my best to ensure a consistent routine that adheres to the pet’s current schedule and environment. I do not care for multiple owner’s pets in the same place at the same time, I don’t find that to be a safe practice. I do have children at home but will keep your per separated from them, they will not be allowed to hang on or harrass your pet, they understand the safety rules.

Information Michelle S. would like to know about your pet
I work to keep your dog comfortable and maintain their current routine as much as possible! I love to know what your pet is and isn’t allowed to do at home, what your training command are and any other tidbits that will help me make them happy while you’re away!
A typical day
Every dog has their own unique way to play! I like to find their style and do what I can to keep them mentally stimulated and tired at the end of the day! Walks with lots of sniffing opportunities, pet puzzles, training exercises with treats and of course lots of fetch and tug of war!

Experienced Animal Lover/no pets
Pet care experience
I have always been the girl who brings home the stray pets, I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have almost always owned some version of a giant breed dog (Great Dane, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards). I started Rover in March 2025 after losing my beloved Saint Bernard to cancer, having found myself not quite ready to own another dog yet, but loving having them around. Rover has been the perfect way to help others while also getting to hang out with my favorite species! I have over thirty years of experience with dogs, I’ve fostered and adopted many breeds over the years and have experience with almost every behavior out there, including reactivity and anxiety. I’ve owned dogs with health issues and am a pro at giving meds, and I’ve adopted and cared for senior dogs as well. I’d love to meet and help care for your pup too!
Reviews

I cannot recommend Michelle enough. We were so worried about leaving the country on a trip and leaving our two beautiful, loving newfoundlands behind. As it turned out, leaving our dogs with Michelle was the best choice we could have made. She didn't just house them; she truly loved and cared for them. She is very responsive, capable, and caring. The daily photos and updates also helped ease our minds and allowed us to enjoy our vacation, while the dogs enjoyed their home away from home, too.

Ollie came home happy, with a tennis ball in his sleepover bag! I got regular updates and was so glad to see him having such a great time with the family. Thank you so much, Michelle! 💚

Michelle and her family provided a wonderful home for Roscoe while we were out of town! I was very grateful for the photos she shared of Roscoe having adventures. Thank you, Michelle!

Fantastic - couldn't be better.
