I currently work from home while building my real estate investment business, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to the needs of the pets in my care. My day typically starts between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. with meditation and exercise, followed by work from my home office. Because I set my own schedule, I can easily accommodate walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. If your dog is boarding with me, I enjoy incorporating outdoor walks into my daily routine and can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away.

I care for pets according to their owner's preferred schedule and routine whenever possible. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and secure, whether they're in my home or their own. I take the time to learn each pet's feeding schedule, exercise needs, medication requirements, favorite activities, and any special instructions. My goal is to provide attentive, loving care while maintaining the routines and boundaries that are important to both the pet and their family.

Information Michelle S. would like to know about your pet
One of the most important things for me to understand ahead of time is your pet's personality and social comfort level. My own dog, Bella, was very selective about the people and animals she interacted with, so I'm comfortable caring for both highly social pets and those who are more reserved. Knowing how your pet typically responds to strangers, other dogs, and new environments helps me set them up for a safe and positive experience. I also like to know about potty training, especially for pets boarding in my home. If your pet is still learning, that's okay—I just appreciate knowing in advance so I can prepare accordingly and help reinforce their routine. Other important details include any special care instructions, behavioral quirks, fears, triggers, or medical needs. The more I know, the better I can care for your pet and make them feel comfortable. Finally, I'd like to know whether your dog is comfortable with baths. If they get especially dirty after outdoor adventures or playtime, I may be able to give them a bath so they can return home clean, comfortable, and fresh.
A typical day
I enjoy tailoring activities to each dog's personality and energy level. I love taking long walks and exploring the neighborhood—I'm a bit like a dog in that way! For pups who enjoy playtime, I'm always happy to play fetch, tug-of-war, or engage in other interactive games. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, I'm equally content spending quality time together, whether that's relaxing on the sofa, offering plenty of affection, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make sure every pet feels happy, comfortable, and loved while in my care.

Pet care experience
Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I believe they teach us unconditional love, help us stay present, and enrich our lives in countless ways. I love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, though I have a particular appreciation for larger breeds such as Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and Rottweilers. Over the years, I've spent countless hours learning about canine behavior, training, and communication to better understand their needs and how they experience the world. My beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Bella, was my companion for 13 wonderful years. During the last five years of her life, she lived with diabetes, requiring twice-daily insulin injections, regular veterinary care, and cataract surgery. Caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of providing consistent, compassionate care—especially for dogs with special medical needs. I understand that pets are family. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or extra care and attention, I'll treat them with the same love, respect, and responsibility that I gave my own.
Reviews

Michelle was awesome in balancing following our rules for our girl and showing her a great time. We picked up a happy and tired Dog, and that's the best way I like to see our girl. Would book Michelle again with no reservations.
I highly highly highly recommend Michelle as a dog sitter and dog walker! My dog Moe, absolutely loves her and her mini schnauzer, Bella. Michelle is always on top of things when it comes to Moe, and I always feel confident dropping him off with her since she is so attentive and loving. Michelle is also extremely reliable and easy to reach when necessary, and follows all the guidelines you provide for taking good care of your pup. Not to mention that Bella makes the perfect playmate and companion for Moe while I'm away. Definitely give Michelle a call, you won't regret it!
