Availability
I work from home and have a family of 6 so there will always be a responsible adult here with your pet and lots of people to play with them. I do not accept cats for boarding but I can accommodate drop-ins for cats.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced yard, adult supervision, and space for dogs to relax if they need a quiet break. Guest dogs are introduced thoughtfully to our resident dogs, and I supervise play, meals, outdoor time, and rest time. Our home is best suited for friendly dogs who are comfortable in a family environment with children and resident pets. Dogs are welcome on furniture and beds if that matches their home routine, and we also have private spaces available when a dog needs downtime.

Information Michelle R. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to schedule a meet-and-greet before your dog’s first stay so we can make sure our home is a great fit and your dog feels comfortable here. To help me provide the best care, I’d love to know: Is your dog friendly with other dogs and children? Is your dog fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered? How does your dog do on a leash? Does your dog have a strong prey drive or tend to chase smaller animals, including cats? Are there any sounds, movements, routines, or situations that make your dog nervous? What helps your dog feel safe, happy, and settled? We do have cats, but they generally stay on the lower level of our home away from guest dogs. My goal is to understand your dog’s personality and routine so their stay feels safe, relaxed, and fun.
A typical day
I have large fenced area for the dogs to run. I work from home so your dog will receive 24 hour supervision. If your dog is good on a leash, we may also take a nice country walk as a family.

Pet care experience
Your dog can enjoy a supervised country getaway with a loving family, a large fenced yard, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I have loved and cared for dogs for more than 35 years, and I previously provided pet care through Rover in Washington State before our family moved back to Michigan. Now that we are settled in our country home, we are excited to welcome dogs again. Our current dogs, Daphne and Dusty, are both rescues and have very different personalities. They do well with friendly dogs who are a good fit for our home, and we are thoughtful about introductions, supervision, and giving dogs space when they need a break. We are a dog-loving family of six, and guest dogs are treated like part of the family. My seven-year-old son, Oliver, is my enthusiastic helper and is learning responsibility, kindness, and entrepreneurship through pet care. I personally handle all bookings, communication, feeding, medication, supervision, safety decisions, and care routines, while Oliver helps in age-appropriate ways. We have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run, plus a peaceful country setting where dogs can relax, play, and enjoy lots of attention. We look forward to giving your dog a safe, happy, family-style vacation!

Reviews

Michelle's home and family was amazing. so much space, such great, friendly and caring dog energy. Perfect for our Walter and he had a great time there. We will use Michelle again and again, for sure!! If you're in this area, THIS is the place for your doggie.
Michelle was an awesome caregiver for our boxer! Bonnie loved her time with Michelle, and we knew Bonnie was in the best hands possible while we were away from home....Thank you, Michelle!
For the past 4 years, when Michelle and Kelly lived in Nevada, I had the pleasure of caring for their dogs on a regular basis. They take wonderful care of their dogs and are very experienced in the health and well being of all animals. I know they would take that same special care when watching your pets also. Michelle and Kelly are very active and will play and interact with your dogs. They also will gladly welcome them onto the furniture and bed to cuddle. You can leave your pets with Michelle and Kelly and not have to worry at all.
My dog had a great stay with Michelle and her pack! He was well cared for and got lots of play time:) We'll definitely be back!
