I grew up caring for cats, dogs, and horses. I loved walking the neighborhood dogs as a kid and I'm excited to get back to doing so as an adult. I’ve been happy to be pet sitting with Rover for approximately 3 years now. MY EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: Dogs, cats, exotic pets, freshwater fish, livestock, & farm animals. I have worked in conservation, with wildlife, and have volunteered at a dog & cat rescue, as well. I’ve raised birds, goats, pigs, rabbits, etc. Animal husbandry is a passion of mine. Have taken dog training classes (: Dogs and goats = life's best friends ❤️ Cats are a close second though, if they wanna be 😉 My friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their animals in the past. Michelle was a very caring sitter. My two kitties have not had a sitter before, but they quickly grew comfortable with Michelle. She sent me wonderful notes and pictures every day, so that I would know they were OK and I could see their sweet faces. The kitties are my family, and I love them, so it was important to see that they were well cared for and nurtured. Their interactions with Michelle were so sweet. I would ask her to pet sitter my kitties again and highly recommend her.

Cats loved her and seemed to be well cared for. Came home and both were very relaxed, even my more anxious cat who often is stressed out with new people.
Michelle was attentive and accommodating for our precious pup! This was my first Rover experience and she made it a great one. Definitely recommend!
Michelle is wonderful. She’s very aware of any and all changes with my cats and spends quality time with them to make them feel comfortable. She also goes above and beyond to help them feel settled with the stress of me being gone

CARING FOR YOUR PET: My plan is that your pet will enjoy their time with me as much as I enjoy my time with them. I’ll do my best to give your pet the care you want for them. I understand that sticking to their routines helps minimize their stress and makes meeting me more fun for them! BOARDING & DAY CARE: Not currently available as I am moving from Urbana to Champaign this summer. If you have concerns about your pets behavior being acceptable, please let me know & contact me about it prior to booking.

A typical day
A TYPICAL PET VISIT WITH ME LOOKS LIKE: When I arrive, I work with your pet(s) patiently as I’m likely a new or uncommon visitor to your home. I often utilize owner approved or provided treats with dogs who are barking, scared, and/or anxious. I do the same to build a lil trust with other pets as well, especially cats. I love taking your dogs on a walk to a local park or around the neighborhood. I strive to give your pet(s) attention and socialization if they’d like it while their owner is gone. Guaranteed to give your pet hugs and attention! Time spent with animals always makes my day! You will always receive high quality photos of your pet(s) at each visit (unless your cat is desperately refusing any possible sightings lol). ❤️
