Information required about a dog prior to boarding/sitting includes: -Does the dog have any behavioral issues? -Is the dog house trained or crate trained? -Does the dog get along with other dogs? -What is the dog's typical eating and exercise schedule? -Does the dog have any medical issues or require any medication?

A typical day

Dogs coming to boarding and daycare will enjoy off leash exercise in one of two fully fenced areas with plenty of grass, toys and a small wooded area to explore. Dogs may have leashed exercise hiking through the woods on 10 acres. Obedience, tricks and agility training is available on request. Dogs with herding experience (must have at least one novice/started title on sheep or ducks) may schedule a herding session with ducks or goats. Dogs will sleep and eat inside. Dogs that get along with others may enjoy indoor/outdoor access, while dogs that prefer to be separate may enjoy their own indoor or outdoor exercise areas at the owner's preference .

Pet care experience

As a trainer and competitor in dog sports including agility, rally obedience, nose-work, herding, and mushing (sled dogs) I have experience in working with many different breeds of dogs and their owners. Because of my involvement in dog sports I am especially experienced dealing with high-drive working breed dogs such as the Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Border Collies and Kelpies. I take time to learn the different personalities of each dog I care for and ensure they are cared for safely. I have been the primary caregiver for over 75 rescue dogs during their rehabilitation and retraining to go to permanent homes. My experience extends from puppies, to active dogs, seniors and special needs dogs. Dogs coming for boarding or daycare have multiple fenced areas available for exercise and training. I have been training and pet sitting for six years and enjoy developing a unique relationship with every pet under my care. Boarding covers drop-off in the evening and pick-up in the morning. If you want to drop off earlier or pick up later there may be an additional fee.

Michelle was great to work with, for both me and my fur babies. It was a great experience. And I could tell my pups were happy. I needed care with very little notice and had time restrictions on when I could drop off and pick up and she was able to accommodate my needs. I loved getting daily updates, with pictures, of how they were doing. They had such a good time that I honestly think they would have been content if I left them there longer! And they got TONS of exercise because they were exhausted by the time they got home. Thanks Michelle!!
