Safety, trust & environment

I care for your pets the same way you do…with love and affection. And a strict adherence to your written instructions. I’m used to complicated food, medication, and exercise schedules, so please don’t ever feel like it’s “too much”. And, I will always want more information, rather than less, so don’t feel limited. I want it to be as seamless a transition as possible, so your furry kids stay happy and stress-free while you’re away.

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any medical issues, medications, special needs, fears and anxieties, triggers, quirks, or behaviors your pet has when you contact me. I have experience with a host of issues and situations, so you don’t need to worry about scaring me off.

A typical day

My typical day with your pet will be whatever you need it to be. I love taking walks, and playing Chuckit (fetch) with dogs. I bring several of my own toys for both dogs and cats, and spend a lot of time playing fishing pole and laser with cats. Dog parks are on the menu, too. Just tell me what you need.

Pet care experience

Hello! First, if you’re new to Rover (Rover will only let new users benefit from the promo, sorry), let me give you my 20% OFF PROMO CODE. Link directly to my profile here: https://www.rover.com/sit/michem79290 Then, use Promo Code: MICHEM79290 A CLARIFICATION: Yes, Rover says I only have a couple of repeat sits, but please don’t get the wrong idea…the clients that book out most of my year are my regular clients (before Rover), so I’m only able to take a few Rover clients a year. The handful of Rover clients I’ve had have all graciously invited me to sit for them, again, and when the dates have worked out, I have. ****IF THE START OR END DATE OF YOUR SIT looks to be unavailable on my calendar, don’t lose hope! Many times, we’re all able to work it out so I can leave one sit in time to make it to the next sit, with no inconvenience to anyone involved, so reach out and ask me about it. You never know til you try! Ok, so about me…I’ve had a variety of pets since childhood, have always watched my friends’ and family’s, and after having an amazing time petsitting cross-country in 2022, decided to make it my full-time situation. I’ve never been happier! I travel all over (mainly Washington and Oregon since 2024), and get to meet cool, new people, and hang out with awesome cats, dogs, birds, chickens, fish, rabbits, and even a couple of sheep! I sometimes even do a little minor gardening (I’m not a natural, but I’m great at following directions). There isn’t much I haven’t successfully (and calmly) navigated, both with animals and homes. Ask me about my natural disasters bingo card, lol! As a bonus, my aunt was a veterinarian tech, and is nice enough to take my calls, so that’s a helpful arrow in my quiver. I have a lot of experience with senior animals, and pets with anxiety. Most importantly, I love animals, I’m a homebody, an introvert, and this is my only job. I will be in your home, with your pets, about 95% of the time, and I won’t have visitors. My goal is to provide you with a worry-free vacation, with plenty of photos and updates, and to leave your home as good (or better) than I found it. ***I have a high sensitivity to cigarette smoke, so unfortunately, I can only take sits in cigarette smoke-free homes*** Other types of smoke don’t seem to bother me, but cigarettes are a dealbreaker, sorry. I’m a little scent-sensitive, as well, so heavy perfumes, sprays, etc., will just make it worse…I’m the girl who can’t walk down the laundry soap aisle, lol. I’m new to Rover, but I have tons of 5-star reviews on my other websites, and glowing references from my regular clients who are kind enough to recommend me to their friends, as well (and I was able to get a few of them ported over before the cutoff, but just ask if you’d like to see more). Because of this, I’m booked for most of 2026, but I do have some gaps here and there. I thought Rover might be a good way to fill those in, and meet some new, potential regulars. I’m happy to provide those reviews and references upon request. If you’re outside of my stated geographic perimeter, feel free to contact me. The way they do the distance/geography thing on this website limits things, but I go all over WA and OR. CA (and Canada) aren’t out of the question, depending upon the situation/timing.

I really enjoy Michelle’s daily updates and thoughtful communication! She puts my stress of leaving Millie at total ease and always puts Millie’s needs first. On top of that she is the most respectful and responsible house sitter too. So thankful we found such a great sitter - Thank you Michelle!

Absolutely outstanding sitter! Michele took such great care of my little girl Sydney who is a disabled doxie. She also just lost her brother and so it was especially important to make sure she had lots of attention and snuggled which Michelle clearly did. We were most grateful. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Michelle was an amazing pet sitter. She was my first live-in overnight sitter and she helped me feel so at ease about the whole process. She communicated well prior to the pet sitting dates, and she sent me daily updates on how things were going along with pictures of my very happy dogs while in her care. I have three dogs with different needs and abilities and they all had a great time with her. I would absolutely use her again for future pet sitting needs!

This is the second time we've used Michelle and she's absolutely awesome! We always come home to a happy dog and a clean house... honestly, cleaner than we left it! Her communication is top notch and I would recommend her to anyone!
