I’ve been petsitting/housesitting for 8 years in San Diego CA and when I travel for petsitting. My experience with animals ranges from a wide variety of chickens, goats, pigs, a pet cow, horses, lizards, snakes and turtles as well as; cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes. A note for boarding and doggy day care; as I do not have any other pets at home I am able to accommodate dogs that have not been fixed as shown on my profile, however there would be an additional charge as I would treat it as a buy out as I can only take on pets from the same family when one has not been fixed and would be unable to accept other doggy day care or boarding requests.

Michelle is an absolute gem of a dogsitter! She looked after my two long-haired Dachshunds, Stacy and Darcy, with so much love and care. Michelle turned out to be a super trustworthy and affectionate caregiver! From the moment she met them, it was clear she adored them. I specifically asked for some updates and pictures during her stay with them and they would always make my day! I couldn't have asked for a better dogsitter. We will see you again soon!
Michelle was simply amazing! She took fantastic care of my two cats, Jack and Gus, while I was away on tour they barely realized I had even left; just barely!

I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter for Finn! Michelle took amazing care of my senior citizen pitbull on his daily walks when I was running a conference and wasn't able to take him out and during two separate overnight stays when I was out of town. Finn is always so happy to see her! Highly recommend!

Schedule
I am available most weekdays for drop ins and walks; with limited weekend availability depending on the week. If my schedule shows I am available through the weekend, then I am! For dog day care or boarding I am the primary caretaker but there are two extra sets of hands available. I currently working from home during this part of the year and have a flexible schedule to accommodate! We have a fully fenced in yard. If your dog is comfortable with it and my schedule allows, I’d love to take them out with me around town. I live walking distance to a shopping center and a few parks and dog parks. Let me know what works best for your furbaby .

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is very important to me as well as keeping the animals safe. I expect that all dogs and cats I care for to be non aggressive and properly trained to be safe to all in public. If they are not I require that it be disclosed in full and discussed with me prior to the sit, drop in, or walking; I am familiar with and can accommodate almost all behaviors but I do require it to be disclosed before proceeding. My priority is the comfort of your pet within their environment as well as the safety of all within that environment including your pet. If there are any quirks or triggers that your pets exhibit it is expected that they be disclosed when booking a walk, drop in or house sit as they can be accommodated if they are disclosed before the walk/visit. Please disclose if your cat is a frequent scratcher or biter, or if you dog has a rage/bite history for the safety of all parties.
A typical day
I’m a very active person and a big fan of hanging out with all kinds of pets. A typical day for me on a walk would be taking them down whatever path the scent they are following takes them if there is no desired destination or route or areas I am told to avoid. I like to give my pets the freedom to explore as they’d like. If they are able to go on longer walks or hikes I am happy to take them along with me when I go!
