Availability

We have access to a lovely park attached to our neighborhood which allows for walks. We also have a fenced in backyard so potty breaks are frequent. Since we often have pups from mixed families in the home, there is lots of play that happens at our house and we love when owners tell us that their fur baby came home tired! On weekdays, we strongly prefer for drop offs to occur before 4 pm. Pickups can occur before 4 pm or after 7 pm. Please try to be precise with drop off times rather than providing ranges (ex. please avoid putting down 1-4 pm as this is not always helpful). I understand pick up can be more open ended due to trip delays, and pick up times are usually worked out the day before or the day of. Weekends are more flexible for both! Common courtesy: Please do your best to be punctual when we set times for pick up and drop off. I often plan my day around drop offs and pick ups, and while I can be flexible, I appreciate prompt communication, but most importantly, punctuality. Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

Mixed groups: Since starting on Rover, we have grown in our number of repeat clients. Therefore, we often have pups from mixed families in the home. We love creating a safe space where your pup can either play with a new friend, or relax and enjoy companionship. Crate trained/non crate trained: We no longer allow pets in our bedroom, so it's important to us that your pup is either crate trained for night time, or that they can be trusted to sleep in the common area on their own without issue. Escape artists: I do my best to set our guests up for success! Guest pets are supervised outside until I know they are trustworthy (won't dig holes, chew on bushes, etc.), and are always walked on a leash. We have a tall fence, pups CANNOT jump over it or get through if that is a concern that you have. Food safety: I keep food and treats out of reach for safety, and everyone is fed separately and supervised (in case of allergies or territorial issues).

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet

Since we often have repeat clients and boarders in and out of the house, we do our best to accept pups that do well with new friends. We do have the ability to give a dog space if need be, but the pups that thrive here are the ones who do well with new friends. We also want to know if there is anything special about your pup that needs attention. For example, we need to know if there are special feeding instructions, reactivity with toys, attention, etc. If your bebe is a jumper, please be courteous about the little things - such as keeping their nails trimmed! Common courtesy: Please do your best to be punctual when we set times for pick up and drop off. I often plan my day around drop offs and pick ups, and while I can be flexible, I appreciate prompt communication, but most importantly, punctuality. Thank you!

A typical day

Each day starts with a morning potty break. During the hot summer months, walks are done earlier in the morning before pavement/outside gets too dry and hot. This is usually once temperatures get 95+. Walks are not always possible if I have multiple pups or if there are other obligations in the morning or evening (as I do also work from home). However, we do our best, and when there are mixed groups, pups often play with each other or run laps in the backyard, so they are still getting exercise!

Pet care experience

I've had my sweet, goofy and energetic Jessie since 2014. I've shared pets with others and housed dogs for friends plenty of times over the years as well! Now that I'm working from home full time, I'd love to give other owners the chance to bring their dogs somewhere safe where they have a playmate so they can go to work without worrying about their babies feeling lonely or restless! While I spend the most time with the pups, my husband is around and is a great caretaker.

Bart and Moshe had a great time with Michelle and were all smiles and waggy tails when we picked them up. She was great sending pictures and updates, and they'll definitely be staying with her again ☺️

Excellent service as usual, the only person I would trust with my dog lady.
