Availability
After the morning yard business time everyone gets fed in separate spaces. After breakfast there's opportunity for secure yard play, short walks, and other activities your dog enjoys. Your dog is welcome to sleep wherever. I have crates available if your dog prefers to snooze in their own space, and blankets on the couch as well as various dog beds throughout the house.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dogs and their comfort & safety are my A#1 priority. I can accommodate situations such as the following: - Martingale collars with backups, if your dog is prone to backing out of their collar or harness during walks there's secondary security to ensure safety. - If your dog is able to join field trips there is a safety clip system in the back of my dog approved Subaru SUV. - The front door foyer is gated to prevent front door escapes. - The back/side yard is fully fenced in, and I have visibility into the yard from where I work. There are spare crates, blankets, bowls, and leashes but please bring whatever will let your dog be most comfortable, including treats or chews that agree with your dog's digestive system. If you have questions please let me know in messaging or at the meet and greet.

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet
A meet and greet is required, for everyone's safety and comfort. I am not able to accommodate aggressive dogs. (please note that food/toy guarding is not aggression but a behavior to be managed) If your dog struggles with making it outside for doing business please let me know, I can accommodate whatever is needed. If your dog needs medication be sure to note the doses/times/etc. And what is being treated, and what symptoms I should be on the lookout for. (no extra fees are charged for this) As Lyme Disease and other tickborne illnesses are becoming more prevalent in the PNW, I'd like to know if your dog is treated with flea/tick preventative. Both of my dogs are treated with fleas/tick preventative, and I treat my yard with safe-for-dogs cedar oil and cedar chips during peak season.
A typical day
On better weather days/seasons the yard is sized just right for playtime and small enough that I can keep an eye on things. Indoors there is enough room for play, naps, etc.

Comfort, Fun & Safety for Your Dog!
Pet care experience
As an experienced K9 handler and caregiver, and a lifetime of having dogs of my own, I understand the need to feel comfortable with where your dog is at and wanting to keep updated on how your beloved pup is doing. I also understand the need for reliable dog care, transparency, and open communication. As part of my commitment to your dog's safety and comfort, a meet and greet is required before you leave your dog in my care so I can assure that all dogs are compatible with each other, and so you can feel comfortable as well. Residing in a small classic craftsman house with a classic Seattle fully fenced yard, and have two dogs of my own, I tend to not host more than 2-3 clients at a time (more is on a case by case basis). I am dedicated to giving your dog the attention and space they need. I leverage decades of experience in dog handling and care to ensure the safety and comfort of your dog's stay with me. I endeavor to make their stay more of a fun doggie resort experience than just regular boarding. Lots of play, snuggle, naps... I will accommodate their needs through tailored and collaborative care. I've worked with and around a lot of dogs, including experience with elder dog care - the inevitable phase we all end up going through - and have experience with puppies. I have enough room to create quiet space if needed and integrated play time for more active dogs. There is no one-size fits all model for dogs. Every dog has their own specific needs. Through all ages and phases I meet the dog where they're at while remaining reliable for you. PLEASE NOTE: I work largely from home though do need to visit the office for a half day once or twice a week. As part of my promise of transparency, we can discuss those days if they occur during your dog's stay. PICK-UP/DROP-OFF HOURS: Preferred drop-off and pick-up hours are 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM (weekday afternoons after 3pm are preferred but not required) Times outside those hours can be negotiated if we discuss ahead of time. Ideally, I need to adhere to those times due to the early hours I work. Please contact me, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible so we can discuss if my offerings and availability align with your needs.
Reviews

Michelle was super communicative with us and great with our dog, Scooby. I felt very comfortable leaving Scooby in such knowledgeable and considerate hands. We booked over a holiday weekend and Michelle was very accommodating and kept us updated with pictures and recaps. Would definitely book again!

My pup was well taken care of and had a great time! Michelle was easy to work with and provided excellent communication. Would book again!

Would highly recommend! She took great care of my dog and I hope to book with Michelle again in the future.

Michelle was fantastic with our Aussie Tyler! Tyler got along great with her dog Valkyrie, and she sent us lots of updates. When our flights got severely delayed on the way home, Michelle was super flexible and kept Tyler for an extra night!
