💕For 30+ years of marriage, our home has been lively with dachshunds and kiddos, but between becoming empty nesters and sadly losing our sweet dachshund, Bella, it feels so quiet. Hosting dogs is our way of bringing back the cuddles and laughs we've been missing so much. Doing this is deeply personal, so that's exactly why we only host dachshunds & one family's dogs at a time. This ensures your pups receive our undivided attention in a quiet, safe Cary home, completely free from the stress of unfamiliar dogs. To give you peace of mind, we send text updates, photos, and videos throughout the day so you always know your dogs are happy and loved. ✈️RDU: Because we are located so close to RDU, we offer airport pick-up and drop-off service for a small extra fee to make your travel days stress-free!

Michelle and Jose were absolutely amazing with Delilah! They accepted our booking last minute, which was such a huge relief, and from the moment we dropped her off, I knew she was in great hands. They have so much experience with dachshunds, and it really showed. They understood Delilah’s personality and needs, which made me feel so much more comfortable leaving her for the weekend. Throughout her stay, they kept me updated with messages and pictures, so I never had to wonder how she was doing. If you’re looking for sitters who are knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely care about your dog, I can’t recommend Michelle and Jose enough! We will definitely be booking with them again!
Michelle and Jose were absolutely wonderful! They were able to take Paco on very short notice, which was a huge help, and they immediately made me feel comfortable. They took the time to show me around their home and backyard, and it was clear Paco would be in a safe and caring environment. Since I don't use dog sitters very often, I was naturally a little nervous, but Michelle kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious they genuinely cared about Paco and treated him like one of their own. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Paco with Michelle and Jose again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, kind, and dependable sitters!
Michelle and Jose were absolutely wonderful with our dachshund Mia! They accepted our last minute booking, which we were so grateful for, and took great care of her. From the beginning, they asked thoughtful questions about Mia's routine, personality, and preferences to make sure she would be as comfortable as possible. They've had dachshunds themselves, so they truly understand the breed and unique doxie quirks and needs. Throughout her stay, they sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Mia came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust Michelle and Jose to watch Mia again. We highly recommend them if you need care for your dachshund!
Michelle has always had dachshunds and really misses having one. We thought it would be a great idea for her to babysit other dachshunds. I know she loved and cared for her other dog very much. She would be wonderful to have you watch your dog while you are away..

Schedule
I work from home and because we do not currently have any children or pets in our home, we will tailor our daily routine around your dog, maintaining their meal, treat, and potty break times.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will never have to share space or compete for attention with any other animals. Our home is a doggie paradise: The Couch: Our living room has a giant, low profile, comfy couch loaded with soft blankets and pillows...perfect to burrow under. Sunny Window Bench: We have a killer sunny window bench that overlooks our entire backyard, making it the absolute perfect spot for warm midday naps or watching “Dog TV” (AKA lizards, squirrels, & birds). The Backyard: We have a large securely fenced backyard with plenty of grass for zoomies and sunny spots for afternoon sunbathing.
A typical day
Morning =Belly rubs and breakfast Afternoons = Peaceful naps on our sunny window or walks on the greenway Evenings = Couch cuddles and blanket burrowing Throughout the day, your dog will have full access to our doggie door to explore the big backyard. They can enjoy complete independence to play with toys, track down lizards, or just lay around sunbathing in the grass at their own pace.
