Information Michelle J. would like to know about your pet
I don't have any breed preferences - only temperament preferences. If a dog is aggressive I definitely need to know that before meeting him/her.
A typical day
I currently take my dogs almost everywhere, including kayaking! We walk in the neighborhood, and in town on the bike path. We also go hiking on lots of trails! I feel dogs need to be social and therefore try to walk them in town at least once a week so they can sniff and meet other dogs.

Pet care experience
I have been working with dogs for over 20 years, in professional (dog sledding kennels - can provide references) and non professional situations. I absolutely love animals and think that each animal has it's own very distinct personality. Currently I have 2 dogs, but have had up to 5 at a time all receiving the same amount of love as the next one. I also have 4 cats and 6 chickens! I have been pet sitting for friends all of my adult life, and I am never any less excited about meeting a new animal! I am reliable and on time, and can provide many references that will acknowledge that I am trustworthy both professionally and personally. My Momma taught me right! I have always had larger dogs, but 5 years ago we rescued a 10 pound dog and my love for them grew like the grinch's heart! My little guy is a barker, so I am used to dogs that love to be heard. My other dog is a husky, and is also very vocal. Our 4 cats came to us because we needed mousers for our property, and then a stray momma cat had kittens. When one got injured and needed to be inside to be nursed back to healthy, the other cats came with them. They now come and go as they please out of the doggie door! i have been blessed with dogs living to an older age, so I am also used to taking care of senior dogs as well as dogs with injuries or special needs. I had 2 dog brothers that both had diabetes, and had to do daily injections as well as blood draws. When dogs were injured or sick at the kennel I worked at, I would take them home and nurse them back to health. Medications and injections are not a problem.
Reviews

When Michelle came for meet and greet, Sky immediately went over to her. She could feel the open heart and love for her. She was an absolutely wonderful house and dog sitter. She checked in with us every day with a photo. It really does make you feel safe and secure about your pet. She will always be our “go to girl” from here on out whenever we travel. Thank you, Michelle! You’re an awesome person and so thankful how much you loved Sky!

Michelle was a lifesaver after my Rover sitter of 5 years stopped. She was quick to respond, did a meet and greet beforehand and we had two happy pups when we returned. Thanks Michelle!

Not only is Michelle good with animals, she’s also friendly, professional and reliable. Highly recommend!
We wanted to take the Durango -Silverton train but that meant leaving Sophia for a long day at the RV park. Michelle came twice and walked and visited with her. It worked perfectly!
