I have 25+ years of experience caring for cats and dogs of family and friends, as well as caring for my own fur babies. I started offering my Rover pet care services because I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you are away from your furry loved ones. I also have pet care insurance in case of unforeseen emergencies. When you book me for a drop in, you can expect me to take care of all of your fur babies’ food, water and potty needs, and indulge them in pets and play. If your fur baby is not 💯 comfortable in a stranger’s presence yet, I will check on them several times throughout the visit, say hi and let them sniff my hand to familiarize themselves with my scent. If they are hide and seek champions, I always take pictures so we both know they are safe and happy. I wash and refill wet food and water bowls after each use. I actively monitor automatic feeders and water dispensers, and refill as needed. I take the doggies out for a potty break/short walk. I do daily litter box scooping for the kitties. When you book me for a dog walk, I take your dog on a walk as soon as I leash them up. My goal is risk avoidance while taking your dog out for physically and mentally engaging exercise. I take weather into account and will tailor the walk accordingly. I am always scanning for and avoid other dogs or potential triggers. I love to hike so I will go as far as your dog would like to go within our walk time. After the walk, I make sure that your dog cools down before I leave. I check that they have plenty of water, as well as offer any food or treats you make available. Throughout the drop in or walk, I let you know right away in the chat window if I notice any issues that need immediate addressing. If the visit is going well, I leave a Rover note and pictures of the fun we had. Occasionally, adverse winter weather can affect a requested service. I always monitor weather and communicate with owners accordingly, whether it is to delay or adjust a dog walk, or to ensure that a drop in client has sufficient food and water in case severe weather prevents a scheduled drop in or walk. I am very proactive in addressing potential hiccups and gathering feedback from owners to make the best decisions for your fur baby’s care.

I tailor my interactions to your fur babies’ individual preferences. I love to indulge them, whether they are in a playful mood, want cuddles, or just want me to keep them company. I will not pressure any cat or dog to interact if they are giving me clear signals that they are not 💯 comfortable with me yet.

Schedule
I am available unless otherwise marked on my calendar. My regular hours are from 8:30am-4:30pm. If you are out of town and your cat or dog is in distress, do not hesitate to reach out if you need me to check in on any emergencies that arise outside of our scheduled drop ins. I have no problem with last minute requests from repeat clients. Holidays can book up quickly so reach out sooner than later. Regular clients sometimes book a month prior and I will try my best to support last minute requests. Due to winter holiday demands, please let me know a window that you would like me to visit. I will make every effort to plan within that time when I finalize my schedule the week prior and inform you as well.
