When caring for your fur babies (or hairless, I don't discriminate), I am meticulous following any directions left for me. I will give your pet all the love they could want! Even if that might just look like sitting near them if they are on the shyer side. For the stage 5 clingers, I love snuggling, playing with and just loving on your baby while you are away. I always send at least 1-2 photos a day to pet parents to keep them up to date with their babies. I know how special a picture of your beloved pet means to owners when they are away!

Because I am so detail oriented and want to give your pet the best experience, it is super important to me to get to know a little more about your fur baby before I care for them! I always meet with pet parents and their babies before the initial stay to learn more about them. Common behaviors, likes and dislikes, or things to avoid are very helpful to know before caring for your pet. That way, I can know what to expect and we can both have the smoothest and best time.
A typical day
As a pet parent myself and longtime dog owner, I am a big advocate for not only physical exercise, but also mental exercise! I love doing mentally enriching activities such as snuffle mats, treat puzzles, or frozen Kong toys. On top of this, I also love exercising pets, whether that is a walk or playing with your pet. With my own dog Nala, I take her on a walk daily and provide her with some sort of activity as well. A tired dog is a happy dog!

Pet care experience
I have had pets since I was 7 years old. Growing up, my family had a beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louie, for 12 years. I also had a bonded pair of bunnies, Bo and Minette, for over 13 years (up until this February). I am an avid bunny lover and have extensive bunny care knowledge. The first couple years of my time in college I couldn't have a dog of my own. Instead, I volunteered at the APA in St. Louis. There, I learned how to care for and interact with dogs from Great Danes and Mastiffs to 4-pound chihuahuas and all the ages and personalities in between. Since then, I have adopted my own dog, Nala. She is a 5-year-old pitbull lab mix who is my child and love of my life!

Michelle did an excellent job caring for my spoiled dog for several overnights. She communicated before the starting date and came to meet him and learn about his needs and routine. During her time with him she sent pictures and communicated with me several times a day. She was so good and kind to him he may not want me back!! :)
Michelle was wonderful. She took wonderful care of our two cats. She sent pictures and updates. I feel confident that when we go on future trips for longer periods of time that Michelle will always be our first choice!

Michelle is an animal lover through and through! She has always been so good with my dogs. She is kind, compassionate, and loves on them like they are her own! They love her too! I'm super particular, so it's great knowing that they will be well cared for and get plenty of attention when I'm not there.
