Hi, I am 56 with over 4 decades of care experience. I have a BA from Florida Atlantic University, and I have been operating a pet sitting; eldercare; & home care service for 33 years in the Tampa Bay area. I formerly worked with foster children and disabled adults as a respite provider for the state of Maine prior to moving to St. Petersburg. I started my caregiver career as a teenager babysitting and caring for clients pets. I have cared for Dogs, Cats, Birds, Turtles, Reptiles, Rabbits, Chickens, Fish and a Potbelly pig. Until finding Rover, I worked strictly by referral from clients and friends. I am semi retired but teach yoga twice a week. I am otherwise free to pet sit almost anytime. I own a home with a fenced yard for Boarding and Doggy Daycare. When BOARDING THE 2ND DOG IS ALWAYS FREE per 24 hour period. Occasionally there will be a small add on fee for special circumstances like medical care or puppy care. I am experienced in medication administration and have handled emergency vet visits for senior dogs and hospice dogs. We always had pets growing up and they added so much to our family life. In 1993 I began pet sitting professionally shortly after I moved to Florida. I have been a foster home for a local Dachshund rescue group and have volunteered for various rescue events. In 2002 I adopted two rescue dachshunds, my Wiener-daughters, Dottie and Sara. They have since passed, but I now have 2 other dachshunds named Allagash and Ebeemee. I know your pets are family and I will treat them like my own. You can rest assured that your pets will be well taken care of while you are away.
