Pet care experience
Animals give me a serotonin boost🥰
I used to volunteer at a local animal shelter. I took a course on animal handling, how to decrease frustration, anxiety and stress (FAS) for animals in the shelter, body language, how emotional health impacts an animal’s physical health, etc. I have a certificate in keeping a shelter Fear Free. My family and friends have relied on me in the past to dogsit their fur-babies. I have a large extended family with pets of all kinds, from German Shepard’s, Labradors and Cocker Spaniels, to mixed breeds and Tabby cats. Five of them are shelter rescues and one chihuahua-dashscund. For all of the animals I have taken care of, I came to their home so that the animals remained comfortable. I love all of my fur-babies, and I’m thankful that my family trusts me enough to take care of them while they’re away on vacation. Important Note: If you’re wanting to do more “meet and greets” after the first one in order for your pet to get more comfortable around me, I will be charging the same price as it would be for a drop-in (about $15 depending on the pet care). Another Important Note: I can give oral medication by putting it into their food. I can not, however, give it to the pet straight.

My living situation does not allow me to petsit in my own home, however, I am able to petsit in my clients’ homes. When it comes to animals, I am very responsible. I take my job as a pet-sitter very seriously. I am able to give them any medications if needed at certain days and times, walk them, feed them, etc.

Michelle has watched our pets twice now, and we’ve been so happy with her both times! She’s very caring, attentive, and great about keeping us updated with pictures and messages. She always asks questions if she’s unsure about something and goes out of her way to make sure the pets are comfortable and happy. She’s very responsive and flexible. She was willing to stay an extra day when our flight was cancelled last minute, which was a huge relief. She’s also respectful of our home and always cleans up after herself. We feel really comfortable having Michelle watch our pets and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.
Michelle is an excellent sitter, good communication and great with Ruby. Since my dog is skittish and needs to bond with her caregiver, Michelle was patient and gentle with her, easily forming a bond and gaining Ruby’s trust and affection. I would highly recommend Michelle

Schedule
My work schedule varies every week. However, I usually work from either 8:30 AM or 10 AM to 4 or 5 PM. I wouldn’t mind discussing the details in-person.
