Pet care experience

Golden & Berner Enthusiast

There’s nothing quite like the wiggle of a golden or the gentle lean of a berner - those big, fluffy, goofy dogs have my whole heart. If yours is one of them (or another sweet gentle giant), you’ve found the right sitter. I offer care that fits right into your dog’s routine, whether they’re staying with me or I’m coming to you. One-off stays, travel coverage, last-minute plans that pop up, I’m happy to be your go to.

Michelle is great! She is quick with communication, and was flexible when I had a last minute request on end time. Can tell my pup had a great time, and I look forward to booking with her again!

Michelle was great to work with! She was flexible, very communicative and my pup seemed sad to say goodbye to her so I know she had a great time! Would definitely use Michelle again.

Schedule

I work remotely as a consultant during the week, which means your dog will have company for most of the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. My lifestyle is pretty low-key outside of work, and honestly, one of my favorite parts of dog sitting is simply hanging out with the dog. Whether they’re curled up next to my desk during the workday, snoozing on the couch, or requesting an unreasonable amount of belly rubs, I’m happy to lean into it. I’m often a particularly good fit for dogs who are used to having their person work from home and enjoy a calm environment with plenty of companionship, attention, and snuggles throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

Boarding & Daycare (My Place) • Regular walks every few hours, plus bonus playtime at the building’s dog run if they’re in the mood • Large private terrace for fresh air, people watching, and sunbathing sessions • Cool hardwood floors throughout the apartment for pups who tend to run warm • Typically out for an evening workout (~1.5 hours), but otherwise your dog will have steady attention and a calm, low-key home base Drop-Ins & House Sitting (Your Place) • Available for last-minute bookings in Gold Coast and nearby • As long as there’s a quiet spot for me to take calls, I can work remotely and stay closely aligned to your dog’s normal routine • Respectful, reliable house guest focused on keeping your pup comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away

A typical day

Think “vacation at your aunt’s house.” We’ll mix in regular walks, outdoor time on the terrace, plenty of pets, and whatever level of activity your dog enjoys. Some pups want adventure, some want to nap in a sunbeam all afternoon, and many prefer a combination of both. My goal is simple: keep your dog happy, comfortable, and loved while maintaining as much of their normal routine as possible.

Before our first booking, I’d love to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs. Things like feeding schedules, medications, furniture rules, separation anxiety, reactivity, chewing habits, and favorite activities all help me provide the best care possible. I’m generally the best fit for dogs who enjoy a calm, low key environment and lots of human companionship. If your pup is happiest hanging out near their people, accepting frequent pets, and settling into a relaxed routine, we’ll probably get along great. 🐾
