Your dog's home away from home!
I'm experienced with many different dog breeds and enjoy the bond between caretaker and pet! Understanding your dog's personality and signals is an important part of taking the best possible care of your dog while you're away. I want your dog to feel secure and happy in my care. I'm retired so I can give your pooch lots of attention, affection and play time. I've got a fenced back yard for safe outdoor play, and love to take walks on the local trails.

Michele P is genuinely excellent. Our pup had a bad start to his stay at his usual boarding location, and we were out of the country! Our son and daughter-in-law jumped in and helped, got him to the vet, and found Michele. What a great experience Bosco had at her home. He didn't want to leave their home. They loved on him and took care of him like he was their very own. He is so pleased to have them as his new “second home” when we need them! It's probably the best dog care ever!!!

Michele and her husband were so lovely and it was obvious that my 3mo golden retriever puppy, Josie, had a great time with them. Michele sent me the cutest photo updates throughout her stay so I never had to check in on her myself. She was sure to ask about dietary needs/restrictions etc and seemed very knowledgeable about all things “dogs”. I would feel extremely comfortable asking Michele to watch Josie again!
Michele was great! She was so welcoming, she showed us around where Maggie would be staying, and she carefully listened to Maggie’s routines and instructions. She also provided updates during Maggie’s stay. We would definitely feel comfortable leaving Maggie with Michele again knowing she is safe and loved!

Schedule
I'm available days, nights and weekends. I'm recently retired, so your dog will get lots of attention throughout the day. While caring for your pet, I keep my outings to a minimum, so that your dog is my main focus.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and no other pets in my home. I own a large and a small dog crate which can be used for your pet so you don't need to bring your own, unless that's your preference. If your dog is fine without a crate, that's OK, too. There are lots of comfy places for your dog to stretch out for a nap in the sun and low windows so they can keep up with what's going on in the world.
A typical day
I like to engage your dog with games of fetch or hiding a favorite chew toy or treat for him or her to discover under a blanket or in an old shoe. I also like to take them for walks in different areas so they have a new experience when we go out, stimulating their interest.
