Your dog will truly be part of our family! We love dogs! (Only female dogs please) I've had dogs since I was a very little girl and always loved them. During graduate school I got a lab mix puppy from the pound in Jan 2006 and he lived with our family for 12 years (Just recently passed due to cancer). I used to work as a manager at Petsmart so I also know how to keep animals safe and sound. This includes water 24/7, steering clear of other dogs and children on the sidewalk, as well as giving oral medication as needed. I have attended dog training with my dog too so I can continue what you're working on with your dog while he or she stays with us. I am currently a special education teacher at Chicago Public Schools, so during the summer, I have a lot of time to hang out with your best friend and take them on walks. During the school year, I can walk and feed before school and after school as well as play with them after school. My son is a huge dog lover too so he/she/they will always get plenty of attention (He burns energy, your dog burns energy...it's a win-win!) Other notes: 1. If your dog is potty trained, you do not need to worry about bringing a crate, unless you want to. 3. I always recommend a meet and greet, but if you don't have time, and if your dog has a good temperament, it's not necessary. 4. I will send daily updates and pictures of your dog(s) because I just love to do it but don't feel obligated to respond. It's only to keep you posted and let you know that your dog is safe and happy.

Michele took care of my dog during an extremely challenging time when I had to be out of state for emergency medical treatments. My dog would up spending 6 weeks with her and if not for Michele, I probably would have had to give up my dog for adoption. She was a godsend and did a great job. She sent pictures daily and was able to flexibly accommodate schedule changes, handle the heartworm meds and feeding changes. Your pooch will be in great, caring hands with Michele!

Schedule
I’m a teacher so my day starts and ends early. I work part time during the summer, and full time during the school year. Im pretty much a homebody so I spend most of my time at home with the doggies.

I can only accept female dogs. My home environment is relaxing and stress free. I only take one dog family at a time because I want everyone happy and relaxed.

A typical day
We hang out outside In our relatively large fenced in yard. There is lots to explore and the dogs enjoy running around and smelling. Coco likes to play with the doggies, Max is a little more chill and just keeps and eye on everything.
