Since I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible, pet care fits in really naturally for me. I’m home most of the day anyway, so it’s easy to work walks, feedings, and check-ins into my routine. I can also adjust my day around whatever the pet needs, so they’re not left waiting or on a strict schedule that doesn’t make sense for them.

I care for pets in their own home so they can stay in a familiar, comfortable environment. I try to stick closely to their usual routine so everything feels calm and normal for them. I’m really attentive and can adjust to each pet’s unique needs. I also pay attention to their mood and energy and let them set the pace so they feel safe and relaxed while their family is away.

Before booking, it’s really helpful for me to know a bit about your pets so I can make sure I’m the right fit. I like to understand their energy level so I can match walks and activities to what they actually need, and how they are with other dogs and people so I can keep them comfortable in different situations. It’s also important for me to know if they’re on any medications and how those are given, as well as any specific needs or limitations they might have, like shorter walks or avoiding car rides. And just a quick note, I’m unfortunately allergic to cats, so I can’t take sits if you also have a cat :(
A typical day
I like keeping pets happy and active in whatever ways they already enjoy. That usually looks like long walks, hikes (Thetis Lake is a favourite), trips to the dog park, or heading to the beach if they’re into that. At home I’ll play with their favourite toys, hang out with them, and make sure they’re getting a nice balance of fun and chill time so they feel relaxed and cared for.

I especially do well with shy, anxious, or sensitive pets who need a gentler energy. I work from home, so my schedule is super flexible and I’m able to give your pet(s) lots of attention, company, and care throughout the day. I offer walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays in your home so your pets can stay happy in a familiar environment. I’m very respectful of people’s spaces, keep things clean and tidy, and love sending photo updates so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands 💛

I've been pet-sitting on Rover for over 3 years myself, and have known Miche for over 10 years. She is genuinely one of the most caring, responsible, and animal-loving people I know. :) Miche has helped care for friends’ dogs before, and I’ve watched even shy or slow-to-warm-up pets completely fall in love with her. She has a really calm, loving energy that animals seem to trust right away. I would trust her with any animal without hesitation, and I know she'd make an amazing sitter for anyone looking for someone dependable, mature, and trustworthy!
Miche stayed at my house and looked after my anxious 5 year old Shepherd mix for a long weekend and did an amazing job watching her body language and giving her what she needed, when she needed it. Honey quickly came around to Miche’s calm demeanour and they were best friends by the end of the weekend. Miche provided regular updates and gave Honey a nice weekend filled with beach walks, cuddles and treats. My house was left clean and tidy for my arrival which was an added bonus! I would highly recommend Miche for anyone looking for a genuine, calm, caring sitter for their fur babies!
