I lost my little dog last summer, so I have tons of love to give before adopting a new baby! I’m currently taking some time off work, which gives me the flexibility to focus on pet sitting and match visits to your pet’s routine. I enjoy structuring my day around feeding, playtime, walks, or quiet company, depending on what your pet prefers. I provide consistent care and thoughtful updates so you can relax while you’re away without worrying ☺️

A typical day is all about keeping pets happy, safe, and engaged! I love taking long walks and hikes are my favourite way to get some fresh air together. Indoors, I enjoy playing games like treat hide-and-seek, where I hide little snacks around the house for your pets to sniff around and find. Of course, there’s also plenty of snuggles, quiet company, and attention tailored to each pet’s personality. Ultimately I just want to make sure your pets feel loved and secure while you’re away and I’m always ready to run with them for zoomies!

What sets me apart is my calm, gentle approach with both pets and their humans. I’m especially comfortable caring for small dogs (chihuahuas are my specialty!), shy cats, puppies, seniors, and pets who benefit from patient, low-stress care. I pay close attention to routines and subtle stress signals, and I adjust my care to help pets feel safe and settled. I’m organized, reliable, and communicative, with clear, honest updates (plus tons of photos!) so you can truly relax while you’re away. I love long walks and hikes too. Bonus skills include excellent treat distribution, soft belly rubs, and a strong track record of being accepted by skeptical chihuahuas and anxious cats 🐾

I feel like posting an animated gif of the happy Snoopy dance! I left Michaella with a convalescing cat, a skiddish black cat named Coffey, and a house in a bit of disarray. I returned to a spotless home, and two happy, well cared for kitties. Coffey tried to convince me that he was angry with me (he hid for 30 minutes), but I have photographic proof he enjoyed himself with the sitter! I have Michaella booked again for a longer stay in a couple of months and now feel totally at ease leaving everything in her capable hands.
Can't say enough amazing things about Michaella! Wish I could give her infinity star rating! She was so communicative from the start and was incredibly reliable and sweet. Our fur babies loved her so much, and she went above and beyond making sure our home was tidy when we came back from our weekend away. Would absolutely have her back!
Michaella was terrific! It was a short homestay with my two cats. They were obviously very well taken care of. Even my 'fraidy-cat void seemed relaxed which was a pleasant surprise! Michaella was responsive and very easy to work with. I won't hesitate to use her again.
Michaella was a lifesaver! When our original pet-sitting plans fell through due to my friend’s schedule change, I contacted her right away. She was incredibly responsive and met with Reggie the very next day. She arrived right on time, provided excellent care, and kept our minds at ease while we were away. We’ll definitely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone.
