Hello there! I'm Michaela, your friendly neighborhood house sitter here in Shawnee, Kansas. If you're in need of a responsible and trustworthy individual to look after your home while you're away, I'm your go-to person! I have had at least 1 dog since childhood. I am currently the proud human companion to 3 dogs, a cat, turtle and chinchilla. My 13-year-old daughter has pet sitting jobs with our friends and neighbors and she sometimes helps me with mine as well. She even has experience with horses as she rides weekly and helps at her stables. We both love animals and enjoy spending our time with them. With my house-sitting services, you can rest assured that your pets will be well taken care of with regular feeding and any necessary walks or playtime. I can help with your other essential task such as plants, taking out trash, collecting mail, etc. I understand the importance of maintaining a secure and well-kept home, and I take pride in providing top-notch care for all of these essential tasks. Michaela was great! She watched our 2 large fur babies for several days. From the very start, she was understanding that the dogs were anxious and she let them explore the new surroundings. One of our dogs had an ear infection, which she cleaned and medicated for us every day. She sent us pictures and several updates throughout the stay. Our doggos came home happy and wore out, lol.
Lily has now stayed with Michaela 3 times and every time Lily has had an amazing time. Michaela is so sweet and makes sure to send photos and videos to update you while you’re gone, as well as sends you home with some homemade treats here and there. She’s truly my dream dog sitter and I cannot recommend her enough. This is my second review on her page and I’m the kind of person who never leaves reviews. She deserves all the praise in the world and I promise you your dog will be more than taken care of here

I work full time during normal working hours, but I have flexible hybrid schedule and I am able to work around your pet needs. I am completely available nights and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a doggy door and fenced in back yard for my pups. If your pet is allowed on future and in the bed, than they can expect that in my home as well. We even have a chair specifically for our dogs in the front room next to their kennels. We have all LVT and hardwood floors so accidents are easy to clean, we can also put down puppy pads. ***Unneutered males over 1 year will have an extra rate of $5 a day to cover the cleaning supplies and extra time because even if they are house trained they will mark here. I am able to accommodate your individual pet needs. We have multiple levels, rooms and gates to give dogs personal time if needed. We provide lick mats, milk bones and homemade dog safe treats for the pups. I have experience administering medications to pets. Our chinchilla is caged in a secure room to keep away from dogs & cat.
Pets
A typical day
I love to play with and snuggle the pets I watch. In the morning I will hide treats around the house to sniff out. I always separate dogs to feed them, if they don't eat I give them other opportunities throughout the day. If they aren't eating I first try mixing in a different kibble (i find they typically want someone else's foods) and if that doesn't work, I will mix in canned wet food. If they like walks, I am always eager to take them on one weather permitted. We also go out in the yard and play catch, I love a good game of tug of war as well. If your pet just needs love, I can do that too.
