My partner and I work opposite schedules, so someone is almost always home with your pup. I’m able to provide consistent care throughout their time with us. I structure my routine around the dogs I’m caring for, making sure they get regular walks, attention, and downtime. My schedule works best for dogs who are comfortable with a home routine and being left alone for short periods.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I maintain a calm, clean home environment shared with two adults, and I only host one family at a time so each dog gets individualized attention. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to run around in. I follow routines closely, double-check leashes, harnesses, and gates, and keep walks structured while avoiding unsafe situations or unfamiliar dog interactions. I’m attentive to body language and stress signals and adjust care as needed so dogs feel relaxed and secure. Because of allergies, dogs staying in my home must be fully house-trained and bathed within two weeks of their stay. I also require dogs to be comfortable with multiple adults and normal household activity. I communicate clearly and consistently with updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your dog is doing.
Home
Information Michaela P. would like to know about your pet
To make sure my home is a good fit, I ask that owners share information about: • House-training and any history of accidents or marking • Vocalization (barking, whining, or howling indoors) • How their dog does when the owner isn’t present • Comfort with two adults in the home • Any history of snapping, nipping, or stress-based behaviors • When their dog was last bathed I always require a meet & greet prior to booking and like to see how dogs settle when their owner is briefly not present. This helps ensure a smooth, low-stress stay for everyone. My home may not be the best fit for dogs who require diapers or belly bands, have frequent accidents or marking behavior, are very vocal indoors, or experience significant separation anxiety.
A typical day
A typical day includes relaxed walks, meals on your dog’s usual schedule, play or enrichment time, and plenty of downtime to rest and settle. I focus on keeping days calm, structured, and familiar so dogs feel comfortable in a home setting.

Gentle, Reliable Pet Care
Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around animals and have always been the go-to pet person for friends and family. I’ve cared for dogs of many ages and personalities, from energetic pups who benefit from structure and enrichment to older dogs who prefer slower walks and a calm, steady presence. I’m experienced with feeding routines, medications, crate training, enrichment activities, and reading body language so dogs feel safe and understood in my care. I’m especially attentive to helping dogs settle into new environments and feel comfortable when their owner isn’t present. Because I board in my personal home, I’m thoughtful about matching dogs with the right environment, which allows me to provide a more relaxed, focused, and genuinely caring experience for the dogs who stay with me.
Reviews
Michaela was great with Kylo. We appreciated having a meet and greet as we had never boarded him before and were not sure how he would do. She was great with him and he was able to settle in after the first full day. She was understanding of our nervousness and kept us updated on how he was doing. Definitely recommend her and will use her again if we have the need.

Michaela was so kind and welcoming to Gus, gave him good exercise and enrichment, and kept me up to date with pictures and clear communication. Highly recommend.

Michaela took great care of my nervous dog when I went out of town. She made her feel comfortable and even sent me pictures of my dog tucked in for the night. I would recommend Michaela as a caring and responsible person to entrust your dog.

Michaela was great with my shiba inu girl!
