Dynamic Duo
I'm an animal lover, and have had many pets (turtle, hamster, guinea pig, and even a ferret) throughout my life. I consider myself to be very motherly and I've enjoyed caring for many dogs including my family and friends' ones. Becoming a dog parent changed my life. After adopting Kip by myself when he was just 3 months old, I very much understand the joys and struggles of raising and training a puppy. I also know that having a dog is like having a toddler, and hope to be able to help others on their parenting journey. I'm very active in the community, and part of a group of dog parents in Harlem (Jackie's Home Run) whose goal is to support the nearby park, its pups, and its pawrents with social connection, education, and information about local dog resources. When we're not socializing outside, Kip and I both love to host play dates at home.

Michaela was great! She took the time to really understood what we needed out of a visit, and pulled it off without a hitch.
Michaela treated my pup with so much care. Dewey stayed with her and Kip for 5 days and we received frequent updates. Dewey loved her time boarding with Michaela!

Schedule
I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I'm out and about in the area, going for a walk or enjoying playtime with my dog, multiple times a day.

Safety, trust & environment
I always walk with a fanny pack (including essentials + a first aid kit), and a Birdie alarm for safety. I'm very familiar with my area and I know many of the dog owners in the neighborhood. At home, my space is clean, dog-proofed, and has a pet camera for security.
Pets
A typical day
I love to go on walks around the neighborhood, especially the Jackie Robinson and St. Nicholas Parks nearby. Besides that, I like to provide dog enrichment and other activities they can do inside to stay agile and entertained.
