I have had dogs in my life since the age of 3, and through family pets, friends, and foster dogs, have expanded my experience to dogs of all temperaments. I have trained my own dog through her reactivity, and know how to advocate for animals with behavioral needs. I am active, and can keep up with energetic dogs with high drive. I have experience with puppies, couch potatoes, cuddle bugs, independent divas, and shut-down dogs straight from the shelter. I am most comfortable with dogs, but am happy to care for cats, as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a gentle but firm approach to care, but will change my style depending on the dogs needs. If your yard is unfenced, dogs will be kept on-lead at all times while outdoors. I do not leave dogs outside unattended, even in fenced yards. I will not accept requests to take pets to dog parks due to the unpredictable nature of other dogs' behavior. If your dog has any special needs, or medication requirements, we can discuss further any trust-building (with your pet) that is required prior to providing appropriate care.

I would pick 10 stars for Michaela, if possible. Star has some tigger issues and I have never asked anyone else to walk my dog as she can be a handful. Michaela walked Star today and I did not worry and Star came back super happy and tired! She loved Michaela and watched out the window as she left. I am hoping to book Michaela again, as needed as she is a dog whisper and I am recommending her to all my dog owner friends. She is the best!

Michaela is a dog whisperer!! She has watched my dog, Captain, several times over the years, for 2-4 days at a time. Everytime she watches him, I'm confident he will be comfy and thoroughly taken care of. She makes sure he gets his wiggles out through the day and goes on stimulating adventures. She is also great at updating me with pics and videos of him. He loves to snuggle with her on the couch in the evenings. I know Captain prefers her over any of my other pet sitters! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby, Michaela!!!!
I can’t think of anyone I would trust more with my dog than Michaela. She fostered countless dogs for our rescue and trained them, made their transitions smooth ones and even took them back when returned. She’s extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and would never put a dog at risk. Michaela is an angel and I recommend her 100%. Michaela is very responsible. When she commits, she is all in. I hope people realize just how lucky they are when they get Michaela as a caregiver. They’ve hit the jackpot!
