Hi folks! 👋🏼 My name is Michaela. I’m a vet med worker, a mama to a multi-pet household, and am a passionate animal rescue volunteer/foster. I’ve been involved with caring for animals in various settings for nearly two decades. I take pride in my ability to treat animals of all sorts with the utmost respect and love regardless of their history. It’s a top priority of mine to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable when they’re with me! I believe it’s integral to take my time building a bond with them. Through both my academic and professional experiences, I’ve done additional behavioural training that provides me with more understanding and knowledge on how to make a safe space for both cats and dogs by reducing fear, stress, and anxiety. I have a keen passion for providing care to pets in their golden years and/or who have medical needs. If your pet requires medication to be administered - I’m your gal! If you and your pet are comfortable with it, I often try to sneak in a good nail trim or ear cleaning! Another bonus is that I love to take and send photos of your pet (if allowed) so you can see how they’re doing. 🐾 If you have any questions and/or are interested in booking, send me a message! Michaela was outstanding. We had her house sit our husky and cat on our wedding weekend and we could not have felt better about it. Our husky can be anxious around new people and reactive on walks but Michaela was able to meet him first and handled him beautifully, making everyone comfortable. She sent us pictures through the weekend and kept us up to date on what was happening. So glad I gave Rover a shot and booked her!
Michaela was fantastic, the day before we left town my dog cut her tail open. I let Michaela know and she handled it for the entire weekend, which was no small task. I 100% recommend if you are looking for someone friendly, professional and huge animal lover. It was very clear to me the time and attention she gave both my girls when I was away.
Took great care of my boy while I was out of the house! Good communication and flexible.
