I'm an online college student, so I’m home year-round and have a flexible schedule. I do work, but my schedule is set so I can work around it. I work every weekend from 10am-8pm Saturday and Sunday.

I stick closely to each pet’s routine, whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or medications. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always keep things tidy, clean up after playtime, and make sure everything is in order before I leave. As for safety, I will always walk your dog(s) on their leash to make sure they're safe from other dogs, animals, and people. Also, just for my own comfort and safety, I’d appreciate knowing if you have any roommates or if anyone else has access to the apartment or house, just so I’m not caught off guard if someone else comes in.

*I am comfortable with taking two dogs, but if they are on the bigger side I usually only take one* Their breed and how big they are, energy level, are they trained, feeding & walking schedules, crate trained or can they roam when I leave, are they friendly with other dogs/people/cats, do you want me to to feed them/give them water after I finish walking them, do they have a release word for when I give them food, any triggers/fears your pet may have, and anything you feel is helpful for me to know! I usually schedule a meet-and-greet if you book in advance, but if you book the day before/don't have time for a meet-and-greet, I will text you a set of questions.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet comfortable, safe, and happy. I follow their routine closely and make sure they feel at ease, whether that means going for a walk, playing their favorite games, or just relaxing together. I love spending quality time with each pet, giving them plenty of attention, belly rubs, and playing with their favorite toys, all while making sure they're safe, calm, and cared for like family.

I've loved pets for as long as I can remember! I grew up surrounded by animals in my neighborhood and at home, so I have plenty of experience caring for them. I used to dog-sit in NY before moving down to SC, so taking care of animals is like second nature to me. I'm so excited to meet some new furry friends! 🐾

Michaela stepped in when I had a scheduling situation which would have necessitated my dogs being alone and unwalked for over nine hours. At their age that Is much too long. Even though it was just one walk for her she came over to meet them and me ahead of time and we worked out details she needed to know. When I came home the day of the situation the dogs were calm and had obviously had a good walk as well as their evening meal. I will be contacting Michaela again in the future!!
I had the absolute pleasure of having Michaela care for my two very high-energy puppies during weekends throughout her senior year of high school. After finishing her own busy days, she would come over and give my dogs the love, attention, and exercise they needed, always with a smile on her face. She is truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and her natural connection with animals is clear from the moment you see her interact with them. My dogs absolutely adored her and would get so excited every time she walked through the door. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and loving hands. Not only was she wonderful with the dogs, but she was always kind and respectful toward my whole family. She was friendly with my husband and kids and quickly felt like a trusted part of our routine. I can’t recommend Kayla enough, anyone would be lucky to have her care for their pets!
Michaela pet-sat my dog Mario in New York before she moved to South Carolina, and out of everyone I’ve hired over the years, she was hands-down the most reliable and kindest sitter I've worked with. She was always on time, incredibly thoughtful, and went above and beyond every single time, whether it was sticking to Mario’s care routine or just spending extra time with him when he needed it. Mario absolutely adored her, and I had total peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. I can't recommend Michaela enough!
