I love to wrestle, play fetch and walk a dog. I love to tease my favorite cat friends until they absolutely attack the toys or make biscuits on my lap. I will keep them active and engaged to the best of my ability, so they’re not missing you too much.

I’ve had a dog since I was 5. My current, a frenchie, stays with her grandma while I watch yours. A bit about me. I am currently in a part time remote position. So your dog, cat or other pets will not be alone long at all. I like to meet you and the pets prior to your trip to make sure we are the right fit for each other. I can do overnights in your home or walks throughout the day. Before an overnight visit, I will request at least one walk with dogs, so they are familiar with me. I try my best to stick to your feed and exercise schedule with them. I have experience with oral, topical and insulin injection medications for dogs and cats. I do great with all manner of dogs but have vast experience with anxious or aggressive friends. I can do basic training. I typically do not take last minute bookings and I book up rather quickly from my base clients.

My cats were taken great care of by Michaela! She took it upon herself as well to take out my garbage, and left behind a fun laser toy and a wonderful card with a paw print from one of babies. Having Michaela was the best dog/house sitter experience. She was perfect with our three big dogs who can be a handful at times. She is very attentive to each dogs needs, quirks, and behaviours. She sent photos and updates each day to put us at ease. Walked/played with them multiple times a day. She even left a sweet card with their paw prints and pictures of them. So thoughtful and left the house cleaner than when we left. 10/10 recommend.
This was our second time booking with Michaela for overnight stay, but our first longer stay (five days) and honestly? We couldn't have felt more at ease leaving Vino with her. She sent pictures and updates throughout the day, every day. Not just a quick "he's fine" text, but actual details: how he was behaving, his walk routine, any dogs or people he crossed paths with. As a dog mom who admittedly has a hard time being away, that kind of communication is everything. When we got home, she had left a handwritten note with his last-day update, including his bathroom breaks (we loved that). She also left behind a poop bag carrier, which was such a thoughtful little touch. And the place? Spotless. She had cleaned up, washed the towels, and left everything in great shape. What really set this stay apart was how closely she followed our specific instructions. You can tell she genuinely cares about making both Vino and us feel comfortable and it showed the entire time. We'll absolutely be booking with Michaela again. If you're on the fence, consider this your sign. 🐾
Michaela has been fantastic in getting to know our pup and staying with her for a few days. She is very conscientious and professional, emphasizing communication and thoroughness. She took great care of our pup, ensuring she was happy, healthy, and safe. She also took excellent care of our home. Everything was clean and organized upon our return. Michaela is a gem!
