I am staying in the Brown University area over the summer and will be conducting research as a Master's student. My schedule is very flexible as I mostly work on a laptop. However, there will be days I have to work around experiments, so feel free to inquire!

About Michael V.

Safety, trust & environment

I won't be able to host your pet (sadly), but I am more than willing to visit or walk as needed! I always starts with asking: 1. Any essential things about the pet I need to know (medication, allergies, etc.) 2. Any essential things about the house? (places to keep them out of, toys, beds, where they like to hang out) 3. Food, drink, and potty schedule + locations for each. 4. Anything else you want me to be aware of? (No shoes in the house, stay out of certain rooms, don't let mud get tracked around, etc.) 5. In case there's a mess, how should I clean up? (paper towels, pads, trash bags, etc.) I always want to respect both your house and your little friend so please give me as much detail as possible!

Information Michael V. would like to know about your pet

Let me know about as many of your pet's quirks and preferences as possible. Animals are funny creatures and may may like or dislike different things, so as much info as possible is better! Obvious things like medication, allergies, food, water, and potty habits are also essential. I want to make sure your pet is happy and safe.

A typical day

I have a small park next to my house for convenient potty breaks and live right next to Brown University, so can take your dog on walks around the beautiful campus. Smelling new environments is always good for mental stimulation, so I try to let dogs sniff things as much as possible (within reason). If we're in the house, I know how important it is to play to expend energy whether that's tug of war, catch, or other toys.

Pet care experience

I have had a dog in the house since I was young. Most recently helped train my family German Shepherd puppy from 10 weeks! I also have experience caring for my dog when she went through a major hip replacement surgery, which required much more intensive care over the course of a few months. Do not currently have any pets (my pup is back home), but have helped take care of both dogs and cats.

Michael is a very responsible and dependable individual, who is also great with animals! Since, he has his own German shepherd he understands the importance of providing pets with care, attention, and exercise. Michael is very patient and reliable, and he will treat your pet like it is his own. I would feel fully comfortable entrusting him with the care of my dog, and I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a pet sitter/dog walker!

I can confidently say that Michael is an extremely responsible person to leave your pets with. I’ve left him with both of my cats for extended periods of time and he was careful and considerate to each of their individual needs. He never hesitated to inquire for advice or questions regarding their routine, as it was a priority that they felt comfortable while I was away from home. I have also met Michael’s family pet, a large German Shepherd Kodi. She is extremely well trained, loving, and confident, showing me that the kind of environment Michael helps contribute to, is one where a pet can comfortably and safely be themselves. He is a thoughtful young man, and the importance of caring for another’s loved one is not lost on him, and that is clear from the first interaction. 10/10 I would recommend Michael to petsit, and he WILL be taking care of my kiddos Slime and Kid Cudi in the future.

Michael is an incredibly responsible and kind individual. He has his own pet dog who he loves and takes care of religious. Personally I have him watch over my parakeets and plants when I am away from home and everytime he is thoughtful, capable, and considerate. He is also very mindful and responsible.

Michael took care of my two dogs while I was away in the Caribbean for two weeks. He made sure to have them walked twice a day and fed twice a day as well. Would’t trust anyone else with my two puppies again!!
