Over the years I’ve shared my home with working Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels and Labradors, so I’m very familiar with both energetic breeds and those who enjoy a steadier pace as they mature. Living with dogs has taught me the importance of consistency, patience and understanding each dog’s individual personality. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, enrichment, and quiet companionship — not just exercise, but genuine care and presence. I also have experience administering medication, including tablets and routine treatments, and I’m happy to follow clear instructions to ensure your dog’s health needs are met properly and calmly. This was our first time using Rover and Odie’s first time away from family members we thought kennels wouldn’t be the right solution for Odie as he needs a quiet space being an older dog and after hours of scrolling for the right person we came across Michael. Reading his profile gave us reassurance and confidence that he would be the right person to look after our boy with his home offering a home from home environment, quiet space, meeting routines, patience and understanding of his personality he ticked all the boxes! Michael was quick to respond with any queries before we went ahead with booking. We received lovely pictures and videos of Odie out on walks and snuggled up at his home and he looked very happy and content throughout the whole Holiday.We had no worries or concerns at any point. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future with Michael as he was very kind, approachable and genuinely very caring. Buddy has just stayed with Michael for a few nights and i was very apprehensive as it is the first time he has stayed with someone else But i was moving house and needed a few days to get myself moved etc But he was lovely with him and sent me up dates and pictures and I could see he was settled and happy there, which reassured me no end Would not hesitate to ket him stay again if Michael would have him lol
Michael was lovely and understood the importance of sticking as closely as possible to Otto's normal routine during his stay. He sent regular photo and message updates as requested and my boy just settled straight away in his home (which is lovely and quiet). I've already rebooked several times and I'm sure Michael and my Otto will be the best of friends. Thank you Michael, the best possible alternative to kennels

Pet care fits very comfortably into my daily routine as I am retired and at home all day. This means your dog will have constant companionship and supervision, rather than being left alone for long periods. I’m able to structure my day around your dog’s usual routine, including regular walks, feeding times, medication if required, play, and plenty of rest. Being at home allows me to give unhurried, one-to-one attention, respond quickly to your dog’s needs, and provide reassurance throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys activity or prefers a quieter pace, I can adapt the day to suit them while keeping things familiar and calm. My aim is to offer a consistent, home-from-home experience, so your dog feels settled, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

I care for pets in a calm, structured, and attentive way, always treating them as individuals. When caring for dogs in my own home, I provide a safe, relaxed, home-from-home environment with plenty of supervision and one-to-one attention. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, maintaining established routines for feeding, walks, rest, play, and medication, as consistency is key to helping dogs feel secure. I take time to understand a pet’s personality, preferences, and any health or behavioural needs. I’m experienced with energetic breeds as well as dogs who prefer a quieter pace, and I adapt care accordingly. I ensure dogs are never left for long periods and always have companionship, comfort, and reassurance. When caring for pets in my home, I respect and follow the same careful approach — sticking closely to the pet’s normal routine, keeping their environment familiar, and providing calm, dependable care. My priority in every situation is the pet’s wellbeing, comfort, and safety, and giving owners genuine peace of mind while they’re away.
A typical day
I am home all day and your 4 legged companion will have at least 3 walks a day as well as access to my garden where we will have fun and games.
