I've had dogs in my life since the day I was born, and I believe every dog deserves to be understood as an individual. I pay attention to who your dog actually is — their personality, their preferences, their comfort level — and I try to make their stay feel tailored to them rather than one-size-fits-all. What makes my home different: I only take one family at a time. Your dog isn't one of six guests competing for attention. They have the run of the house, my full attention, and a sitter who's almost always home. I work from home, which means potty breaks happen on schedule, medications are given on time, and someone is always keeping an eye on them.

Milo absolutely loved staying at Michael's. We're so grateful for the daily updates; he was very consistent with sending us plenty of photos and videos. Michael took good care of Milo and we saw how comfortable and happy he was in his care.
Michael was incredible with my 20-year-old dachshund. Rex is an old man so it was amazing to get one-on-one care and updates throughout my trip.
Michael is a great dog care giver, we were able get away and not worry about our dog! He has a very big heart for dogs and gives lots of love and care to the dogs he watches. I highly recommend him for all your dog care needs.

This is my third time having Michael watch my baby and he always does such an amazing job! She recently started on new medication and along with the daily photo updates, he always made sure to include her taking her medication. I could not be more grateful for how flexible and kind he is! Our dog LOVED Michael! She is a nervous dog that barks at new people. The first time our dog met Michael she did NOT bark at all, which was a miracle. She sensed his kindness and took to him right away. He sent pictures daily and was very responsive and easy to work with. We highly recommend Michael. He is a 10 out of 10!

Schedule
I work from home and I'm here almost all day, every day. Potty breaks happen whenever your dog needs them, not just when it's convenient for me. Meals, medications, and daily routines are kept as close to normal as possible. I rarely leave the house during daytime hours, and if I ever do need to step out briefly, I'll always let you know ahead of time.

My backyard is large and fully fenced, with plenty of room to run, sniff, play, or lounge. I also attach an Apple AirTag to your dog's collar or harness when they arrive, so in the unlikely event anything unexpected happened, they would be easy to track down quickly. I'm happy to take your dog for a walk once a day with your permission. I do ask that dogs arrive with a secure, well-fitting collar or harness for walks.
A typical day
Mornings usually start with a yard trip and some outdoor time. During the day there's a mix of playtime, quiet downtime, and snuggle time for dogs who enjoy it. I have a variety of dog-safe toys, but you're welcome to bring their favorites along with anything else that helps them feel at home. Your dog is also welcome on the furniture. Meals follow their normal schedule, and I try to keep their usual routines intact so the stay feels familiar rather than disorienting.
