For walks, I prioritize safety, fresh air, and plenty of sniffing for important stimulation, and mindful of weather conditions like hot pavement, water availability, and leash safety. I use a 4 ft leash with a lead handle with my dog. For drop-ins, I prioritize feeding (if necessary), fresh water, plenty of mental stimulation, playtime, and affection. I'm also happy to help with small household tasks such as bringing in mail and watering plants (I have a 6 ft Monstera). Caring for my large dog has required patience, observance, and consistency.
