Calm, one-family-at-a-time boarding
Hi, I’m Michael. My husband and I provide calm, reliable dog boarding from our home in Downtown San Jose. We only host one household at a time, which means your dog gets more attention, a quieter environment, and a more consistent routine during their stay. We live in a house with a fenced yard, no pets, no children, and a non-smoking household. My husband works from home full-time, so dogs staying with us usually have steady companionship throughout the day. We are also close to Cahill Park, where we enjoy taking dogs for walks when their routine allows. I’m best suited for dogs who are house-trained, friendly, and comfortable in a home environment. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routine, and I’ll send regular photo updates so you know how they’re doing. For first-time stays, I strongly prefer a meet-and-greet so we can make sure your dog is a good fit for our home. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

We can’t sync Michael and Kris enough! During the middle of our trip to Scotland, our dog sitter canceled and we were forced to get a last-minute booking with Michael and Kris. They were so easy to work with and they are both so good to our little Kelbi. We look forward to working with them again in the future!
Michael and Kris were awesome. Vito came back home happy. Vito is a reactive dog and we're always anxious dropping him off at a new sitter. But Michael and Kris made sure we went about our day stress free and Vito enjoys his stay.
Michael and Kris were amazing dog sitters! Our 12 year old mix breed dog (Kelbi) has extreme anxiety and does not do well with strangers. However she immediately fell in love with both of them and was clearly super happy when we picked her up after a one week stay. We are so happy to find Michael and Kris and will definitely use them in the future for boarding Kelbi.
Michael and Kris took such great care of Charlie! They sent regular updates with what they were up too and with photos. Charlie is shy, but I could tell they were patient with him, made him feel comfortable, and let him do his own thing at his own pace. Would definitely book again for any future stays!
Michael was a wonderful caregiver for our dog. He has a wonderful home with a nice backyard. Sent pictures and a message every day so we didn't feel too far from her. I will definitely bring Roxy back again!

I prioritize giving each pet the attention they need. From morning walks to evening playtime, I ensure their schedules are consistent and comforting. Whether it’s feeding, grooming, or cuddling, caring for pets is a rewarding and natural part of my life.

I have a fenced front and back yard. Only two points of entry and exit exist from my primary house. I’m very gentle and friendly with all animals.
A typical day
During the stay, I try to keep your dog’s routine as consistent as possible. I typically provide walks, yard time, playtime, feeding, and regular photo updates. Because we host one household at a time, your dog will not be mixed with unfamiliar dogs from other families.

- Please share your dog’s normal routine, feeding schedule, walk schedule, sleeping habits, and any medication needs. I also ask that you let me know upfront if your dog has separation anxiety, escape attempts, marking/house-training issues, destructive behavior, reactivity, or any history of aggression. This helps me make sure our home is the right fit and keeps every stay safe and comfortable.
