Availability

I work a Monday-Thursday schedule, typically a bit busy throughout the day. However, due to the remote nature of my work, I am able to walk your dog at any time assuming I’m not in an active meeting at work. Anything that is scheduled a day ahead at least I can work into my work schedule with no issues whatsoever.

Safety, trust & environment

I am all for balance; I ensure my dogs are fed throughout the day to ensure consistent energy throughout and not too much at night. I understand boredom can also increase cortisol and nerves within dogs so I ensure consistent attention and stimulation throughout the day - toys, snacks in toys that they have to work their way through, walks, etc.

Information Michael K. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any separation anxiety or is shy around new people. Though it is usually easy to spot, sometimes anxiety can be stemmed from many factors. Knowing what conditions or behaviors your dog exhibits will allow me to pinpoint what your dog is communicating and will ensure I can take the proper steps to calm him or her down. I have a lot of experience with separation anxiety, but knowing ahead of time will help me.

A typical day

An ideal day would start with a nice early morning walk, a proper well balanced breakfast to establish the base energy level for the day, followed by some stimulation via playing with toys, then a mid day nap followed by a another walk later in the afternoon before dinner.

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of a wide variety of dogs and some cats throughout my life so far. I’ve developed a high tolerance for specifically high energy dogs after adopting my current 6 year old goldendoodle, so I can pretty much handle anything (dogs who tend to bite, jump a lot, jolty on a leash, etc.). I live in Hamilton NJ, so I’d love to take your pet on frequent trips to the Mercer County Park where there are minimal people and distractions - just the beautiful nature! Experienced with using treats to ensure good heels, walks over +1 hours, and managing your dog when other dogs are walking nearby to ensure no unnecessary reactivity.

Michael was great! He showed up right on time, was friendly, and clearly comfortable with Blue. He took him out for a full hour walk and sent updates and photos along the way, which I really appreciated. Blue came back happy and ready to rest. I’ll definitely book Michael again!
