I work 7 days a week in the summertime from May-September as a licensed boat captain on Lake Tahoe. This is where I make most of my income. Despite a busy schedule I still can find time to look after some pets in the summer. In the winter I coach the Freeride Ski Team at Kirkwood Mountain, however this job is very infrequent and leaves me with loads of free time in the fall, winter, and spring.

I have a fenced in yard at my home, as well as a crate if needed. At other homes, I always make sure the pet has plenty of water before leaving, as well as take care of any food or medicine routines that the owners have in place. I am also able to sleep at a clients house if that is needed.

A typical day
There is a beautiful meadow two blocks away from my house that I can walk to in about a minute. There is a clean river here for dogs to swim, and a vast network of hiking trails in the woods behind the meadow where you can get away from the crowds and give the dog plenty of open space to play fetch, run, etc.

I have taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family for the past ten years. I have a pretty flexible schedule and am open to boarding pets at my house. I am young and healthy and am able to take dogs on long walks or even runs depending on their energy level and how much exercise they need. I have also watched after senior pets and have had to stay on top of their medicine schedules, changing doggie dipers, etc. I live two blocks from a beautiful meadow and river and there are endless trails to take pets out to run around and play fetch while also getting away from the crowds. I also live ten minutes from a dog beach and a dog park.

Michael took my dog at the last minute as I had a complication with my hotel. He was flexible, communicative, kind and responsive, he also sent pictures of the walk. When I picked up my bud he was so happy and tired he was chilling for the rest of the day, it seemed he had a lot of fun. Thanks Michael!
