Information Michael C. would like to know about your pet

I'm not your basic pet sitter, I'm like a cool pet sitter & every booking helps save a Husky! A portion of proceeds from my bookings is donated to Husky Halfway House in Eufaula, Oklahoma. By booking with me, you're helping support the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of huskies in need while giving your own pet a fun and loving stay. I take on fewer pet jobs at one time to give yours more attentive care. I stand out compared to other pet sitters due to my retention with my clients & my passion to help animals. I intentionally book fewer boarding requests, so your pet is not with a bunch of strangers. I try to do something special & unique for each stay for both the owner & pet. I provide crates, food and water bowls, toys, and pillows, additional leashes, etc. I have my own pet sitter insurance, I do daily walks, and your pet is able to free roam around the house to feel comfy. As a professional pet caretaker, the journey begins with a deep passion for animals and a desire to improve their lives. This role goes far beyond simply feeding or walking pets; it's about creating a personalized environment that ensures fur-babies thrive in terms of physical health, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. Whether working independently as a pet sitter or as part of a larger pet care service, the career of an animal caretaker is a blend of hands-on care, intuition, and relationship-building. I also have experience with rabbits as I care for two bunnies, a lion head and lop rabbit. Upon request, l'a be happy to provide a list of my long term clients that are willing to be listed as a reference in order to provide a testimony of my pet care, and unique skill set compared to other pet care takers. LGBTQ+ friendly. Please note for any travel related bookings, there will be an $0.89 per mile. This includes for any changes during your pets stay that require travel, and any daycare, and pet sitting needs.

A typical day

A typical day for a pet caretaker starts with early morning routines, often tailored to each pet's needs. For dogs, this might include a walk or play session to burn off energy and promote physical exercise. Cats, being more independent but still in need of attention, may require time to play with toys or simply be offered company. Rabbits, outdoor or indoor play session that allows them to explore greenery and hop around. The caretaker ensures they are fed, their living spaces are clean, and that each pet's routine is maintained for comfort and consistency. Each pet has its own set of specific needs. Some dogs might require extra training or behavioral correction, while others are energetic and need more exercise. Cats may need gentle handling, especially if they are shy or nervous, and some may have special dietary needs. Rabbits may be timid or shy. Understanding these nuances is crucial, as a caretaker must be attentive to any signs of distress, health issues, or behavioral changes. Monitoring and reporting these observations to pet owners is also an important aspect of the role.

Pet care experience

I have professional experience working in a pet care facility, where I cared for dogs and cats of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have completed pet care certifications that have strengthened my knowledge of animal behavior, safety, and best care practices. I am comfortable administering medications, caring for senior pets, and following specialized care instructions. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for every pet while giving owners peace of mind through regular updates and photos.

Zero stars. I had high expectations for my services with Michael. We communicate well regarding my dog’s needs and all was confirmed & understood prior to drop off. I dropped my dog off clean and with all the necessary things he’d need , food, toys, feeding bowls, treats, supplements etc. When I got back 5 days latest to pick him up he was wet and completely dirty & filthy. I wasn’t called or told ahead of time that is how he would be returned. I was highly upset and disappointed in the way my dog was returned. Would not be sending him back.

I would highly recommend Michael for pet care services. He is patient, dependable, and incredibly attentive to the needs of every animal in his care. With his experience handling multiple pets, giving medications, and working in a pet care setting, I know pets are in great hands with him. His love for animals is obvious, and pet owners can feel confident leaving their furry family members with him.

Michael is an exceptional pet caregiver who genuinely loves animals. He has experience working in a professional pet care facility, administering medications, and caring for pets with different needs and personalities. His fenced yard provides a safe environment for play and exercise, and he treats every pet as if they were his own. I highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and compassionate pet sitter.
