Pet care experience
For as long as I can remember, I have always lived in a home with dogs. We initially had a black Labrador called Dempsey who was a bundle of energy, followed by a rescued golden retriever called Jennie who was as soft as anything! We now have 2 small dogs; Tilly (a Bedlington X Border Terrier), aged 10 and Teddy; (a small Maltese cross), aged 6. For 5 years I looked after these largely on my own whilst my Mum worked 12 hour shifts 4 days a week, including overnight, and I now am relied on to regularly dog sit them. I have also looked after neighbours and friends dogs of all sizes (both rescue and non), so I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments (within reason). I regularly look after a cockerpoo; Ollie (aged 3) in our apartment, and he has become a firm favourite in my office.

We’d definitely recommend Michael. Our cocker spaniel, Otto has just stayed with him for 10 days and has been so well looked after. We got updates on how he was getting on which we loved as we were missing him lots. But he always looked like he was having a brilliant time, even getting lots of attention when he joined Michael at work a few times. I absolutely won’t hesitate to get in touch with Michael again when we need Otto looking after 🙂
Michael was a fantastic dog sitter for my greyhound, Rhubarb! Communication was great from the start—he was friendly, responsive, and kept me updated throughout the stay. He sent lovely photos of Rhubarb looking relaxed and happy and it was clear she enjoyed herself and was really well looked after. Rhubarb has some extra medications with her meals and can be a little nervous around other dogs and Michael handled both with ease. Michael is such a warm and friendly person that it’s not hard to see that your dog will have a happy stay with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Michael again and would recommend him to anyone!
Michael was amazing. I managed to book in last minute and he was super accommodating and communicative. Prince had the best time - he was exhausted when we got home! And I was completely at ease from the photo updates! Will 100% be booking again! 🫶
Michael has been such a good friend to my family following the care he has shown to our cockapoo Ollie. We got to the point once the kids were older were we didn’t have anyone and we were struggling to go away as we wouldn’t leave him with just anyone. Michael is caring and throws everything into looking after Ollie whilst he is there, he has even had him for casual stay overs. Ollie loves going, we get regular updates and photos and don’t have to worry at all. He also takes him into work which Ollie loves. I would not hesitate in recommending.

Due to living in a rented apartment, I would ideally like to look after dogs that are well behaved. If your dog does have a history of chewing furniture or going to the toilet inside, please make me aware prior to booking. I am more than happy to have dogs of all sizes and requirements - if there are any special needs or additional requests, no matter how big or small, please let me know.
A typical day
A typical day will include lots of nice walks along the River Irwell and round Salford Quays. We also have a car so love to drive a little bit further out for walks such as Dovestones, Fletcher Moss and Glossop if you require dog sitting over the weekend. The courtyard at our apartment is also a great playing space that is incredibly safe as it is gated on all sides.

Availability
I currently work full time in a creative marketing agency in Salford, a 25 minute walk from my home. The office is a large, dog friendly space where 4 legged friends are frequently in, from small westies to a regular bernadoodle! I work in the office 3 days a week and am able to take any dog in with me - as long as you are happy for them to socialise with other people and dogs, and I work from home the remaining 2 days. Any dog that stays with me is guaranteed 3 short-medium walks (minimum) a day. In the morning, lunchtime and evening, as well as regular toilet breaks. Please communicate your dogs schedule / routine with me if this is something you wish for me to maintain - more than happy to accommodate!
