I am a Research Scientist in Canada, and currently relocated to London where I am part-time teaching consultant for a local University. I'm off for the summer and want to dedicate this time to taking care of and spoiling your dogs and cats in my area. I'm currently located in East Dulwich.

While I don’t offer boarding services (our cat isn’t very social with animal strangers!), I’m happy to provide in-home sitting services to prepare meals and autofeeders, provide mild grooming, scoop litter and provide bathroom breaks, administer oral medications, and provide walks / enrichment. I don't have any other committments at this time, so I am available for house sits that require continuous care. I also have access to a fenced area in my apartment complex in Dulwich where I can safely take the dog off lead for more rigorous and safe exercise in a dedicated space, depending on your preference and needs.

I genuinely try to get to know each pet I care for, so a typical day varies from engaging with its favourite toys, prepping enrichment activities, rigorous walks or sniffing walks, activity in local parks, or just scratches, brushes, and pets. I follow the training plan and guidance provided by each owner - routine is an important part of our pets lives, especially when their owner is away!

I’ve always had dogs and cats growing up in Canada and recently moved to London. We still have a senior cat, Jazz, who we brought with us from overseas. I’m familiar with taking animal blood sugar, administering specialized diets for weight loss and senior pets, and day-to-day care of cats and dogs. Before moving to the UK, we fostered cats with a local humane society, and I also performed respite and homecare work with adults and children with intellectual disabilities. As part of this, I would also provide housesitting and animal care for both dogs and cats. I currently provide full-time pet sitting services for dogs and cats, based out of East Dulwich. Another fantastic experience with Michael! This is a repeat booking, and I am just as impressed as I was the first time. He came to my rescue at the very last minute, was incredibly accommodating, and made everything so easy. Having someone so reliable and flexible is an enormous help and an absolute pleasure. What has amazed me most is the bond he has built with Monty in such a short space of time. Michael shared videos of their walks, and I was genuinely gobsmacked to see how engaged Monty was. By day two, his recall was down to a T, he was happily playing ball, following instructions, and clearly focused on Michael. Given that Monty is still young and can occasionally get distracted, this was particularly impressive. Michael has a wonderful way with dogs. Monty absolutely loves him, and it is obvious that the feeling is mutual. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will certainly continue booking him whenever I can!
Michael was a brilliant sitter. Amazing comms before and during the sit, including loads of lovely pics of Tuna out on walks etc. I really appreciated his flexibility around timings as I had an early start. Highly recommended. Thanks Michael!
