Thanks for taking care of my boys in my absence and being available on fairly short notice!

Thanks for looking after my dogs while I was away! A star was deducted for the day my dogs were stuck in a crate for 11 hours before Mical showed up and she did not communicate with me or my emergency contacts that she was stuck in traffic for 3 hours. Jimmy Chew still had 2 days of antibiotics left in his bottle when I arrived home from my 8 day trip so he wasn’t given the rest of his prescriptions. One of the dogs (assumption is Jimmy Chew) was allowed to get to the bowl used to measure out their dog food. It’s plastic and a portion of it was chewed off. Not something that gets done under supervision in a 30 minute visit. When dogs swallow plastic, it results in diarrhea until it passes so that explains the poopy dog underwear that was left on the grooming table when I came home. Neither dog poops in the house unless sick or left to hold it after not making sure that they both pee AND poop during each visit. To me it’s common sense to monitor bathroom habits and if during 2 out of 3 visits over a 10 hour timeframe one hasn’t pooped outside, you should expect that they’ve done it inside and evidence of it will be around including the scent will be in the air at the very least, if they ate it. Jimmy Chew’s food bowl was also just tossed in his crate and not secured to the side of his crate where it was when I left home. His is secured because as shown in the pictures left on the rover cards, he flips them over and makes a mess and has to sit and lay down in a crate covered in wet dog food until he eats it. Dogs are like toddlers and must be protected from themselves and everything else. They are crated to keep them safe when they can’t be watched every moment. I expect them to be watched during these visits and for my home and things to be in the same condition or better when I get back as it was when I left. Jimmy Chew has a little limp on his back right side that I can’t tell yet what it’s from and there was no report of an injury. I noticed it when I let them out to potty last night before bed so we will be going to the vet to get it checked out. He has a high pain tolerance so it’s hard to tell when he’s hurt or something is bothering him if I don’t physically see it. Overall, my boys seem to be good and were reported to be sweet while I was away.
