As a tech professional in transition, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to dedicate afternoons (3 PM onward) and weekends to pet care while handling personal projects like coding practice in the mornings. Daily, I integrate pet sitting seamlessly with my two Aussies' routine—morning walks at 8 AM, playtime around noon, and evening check-ins—ensuring guest pets join in for structured exercise and downtime in our fenced Saratoga yard. Weekly, I block out 20-30 hours for boarding or drop-ins, prioritizing reliability with real-time updates via the app, all while maintaining balance for my own pups' needs.

Safety, trust & environment
In my Saratoga home, safety and trust are paramount for boarding and daycare services. Our fully fenced yard provides a secure space for supervised play, and I maintain a calm, structured environment with separate areas for rest and activity to prevent overstimulation—ideal for my two Aussies, Joyce and Grace, who serve as gentle playmates. I conduct initial meet-and-greets to ensure compatibility, administer medications precisely if needed, and use positive reinforcement for any behavioral adjustments. Real-time photo/video updates via the app build trust, and I'm CPR/first-aid certified for pets, with emergency vet contacts on speed dial. For drop-in visits or house sitting at clients' homes, I follow your routines meticulously—feeding, walking, and playtime as specified—while prioritizing safety by checking for hazards like loose wires or toxic plants. I arrive punctually, document everything with photos, and leave the space tidy, fostering trust through consistent communication and respect for your home.

Information Micah H. would like to know about your pet
Before any booking, I always ask owners to share these key details (takes just 2–3 minutes but makes a huge difference): Feeding schedule & exact portions (including any toppers or meds mixed in) Current food brand (in case I need to pick up more in an emergency) Any food allergies or sensitivities Medication schedule (name, dose, how to give — pill pockets, cheese, etc.) Reactivity triggers (other dogs, skateboards, men with hats, doorbells, etc.) Favorite commands they already know (so I stay consistent) Crate comfort level (love it, tolerate it, or panic?) Energy level (couch potato, marathon runner, or somewhere in between) Preferred play style (fetch, tug, flirt pole, wrestling, or just sniffing) Any fears (thunder, vacuum, being alone, car rides) House rules (allowed on furniture? counter-surfing history?) Potty cues (circles, whining, sits by door, etc.) Emergency vet preference (I’m 10 min from Adobe Animal Hospital, but I’ll always go wherever you prefer) Joyce and Grace have taught me that every dog is unique — the more I know upfront, the smoother and happier the stay is for everyone (especially your pup!). Feel free to message me a quick note or voice memo with these details — I read every single one before our meet-and-greet. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.
A typical day
A typical day with me is structured, active, and full of love — exactly what high-drive dogs (and relaxed ones!) need. **Morning (8–10 AM):** We start with a brisk neighborhood walk or backyard zoomies session with Joyce and Grace (my two Aussies). Guest dogs join the pack — I match energy levels so everyone gets the right amount of exercise (heel practice for the pullers, sniffari for the seniors). **Mid-morning (10 AM–noon):** Training & brain games: short sessions of "look," "leave it," fetch with rules, or frozen Kongs on the patio. Puppies get bite inhibition games; reactive dogs work on calm focus. **Lunch & nap time (noon–3 PM):** Quiet time in the house — each dog has their own crate or bed in shaded, cool rooms (I separate if anyone needs space). Soft music, chew toys, and a midday potty break. **Afternoon adventure (3–6 PM):** Second big play block — backyard frisbee or flirt pole for the athletes, gentle strolls for seniors, or puzzle toys indoors if it’s hot. Plenty of water breaks and photo updates sent to owners! **Evening wind-down (6 PM onward):** Light leash walk around the block at sunset, dinner according to your schedule, and chill couch time (yes, cuddles allowed if your pup loves them). Overnight boarders settle in with calming chews and white noise. Every dog gets at least 60–90 minutes of active fun, 100+ minutes of mental stimulation, and all the rest and affection they need — just like Joyce and Grace get every single day. Your pup won’t just be “watched” — they’ll come home happy, tired, and better-mannered!

Pet care experience
As a devoted parent to two energetic Australian Shepherds, Joyce (black tri) and Grace (blue merle), I've spent the last 4 years providing hands-on care in our Saratoga home, including daily exercise, grooming, and health monitoring. What sets me apart is my specialized training in service dog preparation—I've successfully taught heel commands, desensitization for reactivity (like barking at other dogs), and focus cues such as "look," "leave it," and "settle" using positive reinforcement. This makes me ideal for puppies needing foundational obedience or seniors requiring gentle, structured routines to manage energy and joint health. Plus, with experience in multi-dog households and pet-friendly travel (like RV trips), I ensure every fur baby feels safe, stimulated, and loved in a calm, fenced yard environment.
Reviews

Micah provided excellent cars! Will use again!
Micah has been the most responsible and loving dog dad to his two Australian Shepherds, Joyce and Grace, for the past four years. We’re family, and I’ve watched him train them with incredible patience, keep perfect schedules for food, exercise, and vet visits, and turn his home into the safest, happiest place for dogs. He’s the first person we trust with our own pup when we travel. If you’re looking for someone who treats every pet like his own, Micah is that person—100% reliable, gentle, and truly gifted with animals.
