Hi, my name is Micaela and thanks for stopping by my profile. I owned a pet sitting business for almost seven years before competing graduate school and starting my career. Before that, I pet sat part-time so I have over a decade of experience. I couldn't give up pet sitting entirely, though! I still offer services on weekends and evenings. I am privately insured as a pet care provider. In my spare time, I enjoy dog training and dog sports. I have two Miniature American Shepherds of my own that do agility, obedience, and rally. I have a senior Japanese Chin as well who is happiest as a stay at home dog and lounging most of the day. I have experience with many types of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, and birds. I am happy to care for any size/breed of dog and worked with special needs pets, seniors and pets with behavioral issues such as dog aggression or resource guarding. I can also care for some farm animals such as donkeys and chickens. Experienced giving different types of medication to cats, dogs, and even exotic pets! Before providing services for the first time, I offer a meet and greet visit with you and your pets for all new clients. That way your pets can get to know me a bit and we can discuss their care. Please note when requesting housesitting: I do not offer "constant care" house sitting. This is house sitting where the house sitter cannot leave the home at all or very minimally due to severe separation anxiety, etc. I work full-time and have other clients to see sometimes.
