Hi, my name is Micaela and thanks for stopping by my profile. I owned a pet sitting business for almost seven years before competing graduate school and starting my career. Before that, I pet sat part-time so I have over a decade of experience. I couldn't give up pet sitting entirely, though! I still offer services on weekends and evenings. I am privately insured as a pet care provider. In my spare time, I enjoy dog training and dog sports. I have two Miniature American Shepherds of my own that do agility, obedience, and rally. I have a senior Japanese Chin as well who is happiest as a stay at home dog and lounging most of the day. I have experience with many types of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, and birds. I am happy to care for any size/breed of dog and worked with special needs pets, seniors and pets with behavioral issues such as dog aggression or resource guarding. I can also care for some farm animals such as donkeys and chickens. Experienced giving different types of medication to cats, dogs, and even exotic pets! If you have any questions about arranging services or if my services are right for your pets, feel free to send me a message any time. Before providing services for the first time, I offer a meet and greet visit with you and your pets for all new clients. That way your pets can get to know me a bit and we can discuss their care. Please note when requesting housesitting: I do not offer "constant care" house sitting. This is house sitting where the house sitter cannot leave the home at all or very minimally due to severe separation anxiety, etc. I work full-time and have other clients to see sometimes.

Micaela was so kind and took great care of our 3 cats while we were away! She did exactly what we asked her to do for them each evening, and we came home to the house in the same condition that we left it. She sent great pictures of them throughout the week and sent little updates when necessary. Thank you!

Schedule
All weekly walks and drop in visits are booked in arrival windows. For weekly walks and visits, I currently have several spots available in various windows. If you are traveling, please reach out for availability for the weeks needed. I am currently booking throughout March 31 2023 for housesitting and vacation drop in visits/walks. Please send me a message if you would like to check availability.

I offer services in the pet's home for their comfort. Many dogs become stressed when staying outside of their home. This makes housesitting or drop in visits a great option to keep them happy in their own environment.

A typical day
I offer 30 minute or 60 minute drop-in visits and walks to keep your pets entertained whether you're at work or away on a trip. 1 hour walks at Letort Spring Run nature trail are available when weather permits as well.
