Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and even reptiles, which has given me years of hands-on experience with animals of different species, ages, personalities, and needs. My love for animals also extends beyond my own pets-l have volunteered with veterinary clinics and animal shelters and have experience caring for stray and rescued animals. I have a senior pit bull I rescued when she was 1 year old & a dog named buddy that I took in off the streets, along with a couple of other dogs. I am currently a pharmacy student with a strong medical background, which has made me especially comfortable with pets who require a little extra care. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, providing basic wound and first-aid care, and recognizing when an animal may need additional medical attention. I am also CPR trained and remain calm and attentive in stressful situations. Pets are family, and when someone trusts me with theirs, I care for them with the same patience, attention, love, and respect that I give my own.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always one of my highest priorities when caring for animals. I am CPR trained and renew my certification every two years, and I have experience with first aid, wound care, medication administration, and giving injections. My healthcare background has taught me to pay close attention to details, follow instructions carefully, and remain calm and focused in stressful or unexpected situations. I understand that every pet has different medical, behavioral, and safety needs, so I will always follow your pet’s established routine and your specific care instructions. I also closely monitor the animals in my care for changes in behavior or signs that something may be wrong. Most importantly, I will treat your pet’s safety and well-being as seriously as I do my own animals.

Micaela used to be my neighbor and was always someone I could trust to care for my dogs when I needed help. She is incredibly responsible, dependable, and genuinely loves animals. I never had to worry when my dogs were in her care because I knew she would treat them like they were her own. She was attentive to their routines, made sure they got plenty of love and attention, and always kept me updated. What stood out most to me was how naturally animals seem to trust and feel comfortable around her. Micaela is patient, caring, and takes their safety very seriously. She is also extremely reliable and easy to communicate with, which made leaving my dogs with her completely stress-free. I would absolutely trust her with my pets again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care about their animals, not just watch them.

Schedule
Caring for animals is already a huge part of my everyday routine. Even while attending pharmacy school, I make my animals a priority every single day. I walk all of my dogs daily, give their medications on schedule, and brush their teeth every night. I understand how important consistency is, especially when a pet has medications, special needs, or an established routine. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior and always make sure each animal gets plenty of individual attention, affection, exercise, and care. I would treat your pets with the same love and dedication I give my own. 🤍🐾

I’m comfortable with different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and I never judge a pet based on breed. The more I know about your baby, the better I can make their time with me feel safe, familiar, and comfortable.
